Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
10
User ScoreBeggarSoldier
Feb 6, 2023
UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection[/b] contains Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and its standalone expansion Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Unfortunately there are no Uncharted 1-2-3 on PC, not even this collection has them. So I played through the earlier games using the RPCS3 Emulator to catch up with the storyline and characters. Playing through the earlier titles was a whole lot of fun. Getting to know the characters and their background stories, even on a deeper level, while also embarking on their adventures to here and there for lost treasures and cities was just overall a really great experience. The best thing about this series is that it has humour, action and even drama packed into them. The way the characters talk with each other and react to various things is just pure fun to listen to. Pros: - The games are jaw droppingly beautiful - The amount of tiny little details are mind blowingly insane - Both game ran like a dream performance wise, top tier optimization - Animations are as smooth as butter - The characters are sooo well-written - The storyline of both entries were intriguing, I just loved everything about them. - The gameplay itself is really responsive and is just overall satisfying, both the gunplay and the exploration. - You can either go stealth or guns blazing. - Some sections of the games are semi-open world, great stuff - Really great OST - Photomode, which is an instant W in my book. - Steam achievements Neutral: - I would have loved to play the Uncharted 4 multiplayer, but unfortunately, this collection does not have multiplayer in it. Cons: - It crashed only twice in 23 hours of gameplay (In Lost Legacy) - I have read that using a mouse is janky, I've played with a controller from start to finish so I haven't noticed that. So a controller is advised. - Some bugs, but nothing game breaking 10/10 This game is easily a masterpiece and is now among the best video games I've ever played. It's really a must play. I highly recommend checking out the earlier games too as they are also really-really great games and are mentioned in this final closure of the series, but do be aware that if you want to play them on an emulator like I did, it will have its fair share of issues, but I could finish them from start to finish, so maybe you can too.

Hyper Scape is Ubisoft's trying to get into the Battle Royale scene. It's quite fun with a friend. Pros: - Fast-paced shooter - Great map - Graphics look great - "Hacks", which are abilities you can pick up around the map (spawn a wall, turn into a ball etc.) Cons: - Some weapons feel underpowered - Paid battle pass - Hitbox problems 7/10. It's quite fun for a while with a friend, but after that it just gets boring. Since it's free, I can only say that you should try it out and see for yourself.

May 22, 2021
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a sequel to the previous installment "The New Order" and it does everything right, with minimal flaws. Pros: - Long (10-12 hours) - Graphics look great - Alternative History - Gunplay is awesome - Multiple difficulties - Awesome soundtrack - Great variety of weapons and they can be upgraded - Well optimized - Well written characters - Cutscenes are absolutely awesome Cons: - Some animations are stiff (Like Bj's animations, which you can see in his shadow) - The graphics can look washed out at some places - Those expeditions kinda stuff are kinda meh - Bad DLCs 10/10 The game is absolutely worthy of this rating since I can find everything in this game that I loved in New Order. Get the base game, avoid the DLCs.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes the AC Franchise to England in the Viking era and you do play as a Viking conquering England. "A man you trust with anything... can take everything" - Basim Pros: - Really great looking game - Many regions to explore - There are 5 big maps to also explore (Norway, Mythical Asgard and Jotunheim, Vinland, England) - You can either play as male or female Eivor - Storyline is great with some twists - Many side missions which are quite unique and enjoyable - You can upgrade your gear and your horse and even customize them - Raiding is quite fun - Many ways to approach missions - Soundtrack is really good - A really long game if you try to do everything (Over 80-100 hours) Neutral: - The ending was abrupt, but more content/DLC is on the way so that will fill the gaps hopefully. - The graphics can look bad sometimes, but not horrible, Cons: - Bugs (It's an Ubisoft game so it's expected) - On my playthrough I played as male Eivor and I heard stuff like SHE. kinda hilarious. - While the soundtrack is really good, it gets repetitive - Some missions are repetitive - When you raise an army for a siege, there is always like 20-30 people. I found it really funny as it just felt like a bar fight with that few people and not a proper war. 8/10 It's a great game nonetheless I really enjoyed traversing through England.

Ghostrunner is an awesome hack-n-slash, platformer game with a Cyberpunk style, but there are also bad things to note. Pros: - The graphics are absolutely gorgeous - Tetris styled perk bonus management which is really unique - Collectibles (You can even get sword customizations this way) - Really well optimized - Great soundtrack - Feels awesome to move, wallrun and just slashing through enemies - 4 different abiliites Neutral: - The story is just there to compliment the gameplay, I'm not saying it's bad, but I think noone gives a damn. - You die because of one shot Cons: - Some enemies are really frustrating at first (Like the Samurai and the two legged robot) - Kinda short (Can be finished in like 4 hours or less) - The "Cybervoid" sections are boring. - You most likely won't use the 4 abilities but only very rarely - Bugs (I was able to break the game 1-2 times) - Sometimes the level design fools you 8/10 This game is absolutely amazing to look at and it feels great to play it, even with its flaws.

Wolfenstein: The New Order completely changes the storyline from previous titles and for the better. The plot in short is that the Germans have won WW2 by nuking Washington DC. BJ. Blazkowicz joins to the resistance to fight the Germans. Pros: - Alternate-timeline - It's quite long (10-12 hours) - Easter eggs and collectibles - Awesome gunplay - Really good soundtrack - Well-written and memorable characters Cons: - The graphics didn't quite age well - Performance issues with AMD GPUs 10/10. This game is really amazing with story-telling and gameplay-wise. Must-Play.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is an amazing experience which you should not skip. Pros: - Really great memorable characters - It feels like Band of Brothers - Commanding your squad is really well done - Awesome missions - Great soundtrack - Voice acting is pretty decent Cons: - Outdated graphics (obvious since the game is from 2005) - Weapon sway can be annoying but it's only minor 10/10. It's just an awesome WW2 shooter and all I can say is that you shouldn't miss out on this masterpiece.

Pros: - Alternate-history WW2 - Great designed maps - Soundtrack is quite good - Great selection of weapons - Enemy diversity Cons: - Performance issues with modern hardware (can be easily fixed though) - Outdated graphics (obvious since the game came out in 2001) - The game ends abruptly 9/10. It is certainly a really great classic and I recommend playing it.

Medal of Honor: Rising Sun

Oct 27, 2020
Medal of Honor Rising Sun may be the best Medal of Honor game I've ever played. I just simply love this. Pros: - Superb soundtrack - Amazing missions - Realistic approach on the Pacific Theater - Never gets boring the gameplay and the setting is that good - Splitscreen Co-op (little bit changes the missions to appeal co-op, which is fantastic!) - Everything in this game is just memorable Cons: - The graphics are kinda outdated (well obviously, since this came out in 2003) - The AI is sometimes dumb - It could've been longer 10/10. Simply put, this is the best MOH ever and I'm really disappointed and sad that this game won't get any continuation, since many people didn't like this game. How can you not like this game? It's the best in the entire series.

Battlefield V

User ScoreBeggarSoldier
Oct 27, 2020
Battlefield V tries to be a "WW2 game" which you've never seen before. I mean they proved that kinda ridiculously. But the game itself works and plays well. Pros: - Amazing Graphics - Awesome soundtrack - The campaign starts off pretty strong - Gunplay feels really good - New mechanics (like crouch running) - The Pacific update brought back some life into the game - The maps are really great - Lots of weapons to choose from Cons: - Unfinished game (No Eastern Front) - Random women screaming on the battlefield, I would've understood it if they were Russian soldiers, but German and British women soldiers screaming is kinda annoying and really-really out of place. - The game's teaser is really stupid (Steampunk styled WW2? Ridiculous) 6/10. The game itself is not bad, after the Pacific update (It actually felt like WW2), they had a good foundation to move on forward, but DICE is no longer supporting BFV. It's a shame because if we would've gotten the Eastern Front, the game could've been much better.

Battlefield 1 is a game set in WW1, it may not be realistic at all, but it's damn good to play. Pros: - Short campaign showing the horrors of WW1 - Great cutscenes in the campaign - Graphics are gorgeous - Performance is great - Awesome soundtrack - Multiplayer is still solid even to this day - Many factions from WW1 (Britain, USA, Ottoman Empire, Germany, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Serbia, Russia) - The weapons feel awesome and satisfying - Fluid animations Cons: - Not realistic, but no big deal - Sometimes you meet with hackers but not often - Campaign should've been much longer, but it's alright since the multiplayer is the main focus of the game. 10/10. This may be the best Battlefield game out there right now.

Broken Lines is an alternative-timeline WW2 strategy game with a twist. Pros: - Great fighting mechanic - Squad management - There are certain points where you have to make certain decisions which impacts the game's ending so it is replayable multiple times Neutral: - Cutscenes are meh - I don't know why but the depiction of the germans are really weird in this game - The story is meh Cons: - Character models are weird looking - No voice in dialogues only humming 7/10. It's a great experience. Can recommend it on a sale.

Mafia: Definitive Edition

User ScoreBeggarSoldier
Oct 26, 2020
Mafia: Definitive Edition is a remake of the old Mafia game (2002) and it is quite good. Pros: - 1930's setting - Cutscenes are really well animated - Really good soundtrack - I loved the story - Graphics are awesome - Great missions - The map is pretty well designed - Free Ride, which is just you exploring the map. You can also change outfits and use any weapon you want while Free Ride. Cons: - The racing mission is utter trash (Just as in the classic as I've heard) - I wish they had done much more with the big map like adding side missions or something (But I guess this wasn't a thing even in the classic) - Throwing animations are weird - Some doors open quite weird - I didn't like that sometimes the game's story just jumps from 1935 to 1938, I mean It would've been much more interesting if we'd get to know the characters much more which leads to my next point - Some of the characters were really underwhelming that I couidn't even care less about what's happened to them. 8/10. I've enjoyed my time with the game don't get me wrong, but sometimes it's just underwhelming.

Pros: - Really amazing looking graphics - The story is somewhat good - Great characters - Fluid animation - Great puzzles - Good inventory management - Jumpscares and even some chasing Cons: - Sometimes the story doesn't make sense - There is a part in the game where you have to decide between 2 options and the outcome is really just the same. - The AI is kinda dumb at some places 9/10. Crysis remastered brings Crysis (2007) to the next-generation. Pros: - Greater looking textures - Greater draw distance - Greater effects such as lighting. - Ray tracing support Neutral: - No Multiplayer Cons: - Bugs - The animations were not improved - The AI feels dumber in the remaster - Sometimes the 2007 Crysis looks better - Performance Issues - Dumbed down controls - Unresponsive controls (When you press the jump button, it actually takes 1-2 seconds for Nomad to jump) I'd say just skip this remaster, It's Crysis for sure, but it's not the one everyone loves and I can say that the 2007 Crysis still looks absolutely stunning and plays better even to this day.

Resident Evil 3 is a remake of RE3: Nemesis (1999) which I've never played before, so my expectations were not as high as veterans of the series. Pros: - Gorgeous graphics - Story is quite good - Jill looks hot - Fluid animations Cons: - Much shorter than RE2 Remake - As I've seen and heard, many stuff has been taken out which was in the original game. - No puzzles like there was in RE2 Remake - Nemesis is really not that scary as Mr.X was in RE2 Remake 8/10 It feels like a watered down version of RE2 Remake, but nonetheless I've enjoyed my time with the game and it wasn't a bad experience.
