Overall, a nice and fun little co-op game set in the Remedyverse of Control and Alan Wake. Clearly not a AAA-game like its Remedyverse friends, but in its genre and pricepoint a fairly enjoyable co-op. After the first major update in September, feels like a more cohesive game it was supposed to be to begin with and starting to be an actually fun co-op game :) Many of the problems faced with the original release have been fixed. Jobs, I mean Crisis, are more clearly defined and overall onboarding the game has been made much easier. Still, it needs some more content and features to be entertaining game in the long run, and some of those have been promised to be released later on. Meanwhile, you still get a decently fun and hectic co-op experience even out of the current content. Expect to have a technical glitch/connectivity issue every now and then, but nothing too major to spoil the fun.
Needs time and concentration to immerse yourself in the slow paced world of Alan Wake. But boy, when you get there, is it worht it. The overarching story at times feels like Hollywood budget movie, and at times bends your mind and keeps hooking the player more and more. Bare in mind that this is a survival horror game, so some jumpscares etc. are incoming. However, I think the use of the is greatly balanced and not overwhelming, even people like myself who are not usually horror fans can play and enjoy this game. Graphically it looks amazing, animations are nicely done and these really help to sell the story even more.
The environments in the game are quite limited, but Remedy has found clever ways the weave the story around these places and it really doesn't feel too repetitive or lazy.
