Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta2
Jan 10, 2014
What the heck did I just play? This game looks and sounds like it's from 2003. I understand this is the very first attempt by the devs but everything's so friggin' bad I can't really find anything to save: graphics are bad, sound is terrible, gameplay is slow and boring and sometimes stupid. I'm giving this a 2 instead of 0 because I had two good laughs moments playing it, during the two car chasing "levels". If all this inadequacy was intentional, this would be a masterpiece of kitsch. Unfortunately they really thought they did a good job...

Confusing. It's not clear what you really have to do and all the controls are always showed as if you're using an Xbox controller even if you're using a keyboard. Game itself is not that funny. A giant disappointment.

Angelica Weaver: Catch Me When You Can4
Aug 25, 2013
Very good adventure with clever puzzles and an interesting story but the saving system is all bugged up: if something goes wrong when you save the game you won't be able to play it ever again unless you start deleting and tweaking and messing with the file system (and even then, you have to restart the game from scratch). First glimpse of the problem came into view on January 2013; seven months ago the problem is still here. A good game is useless if the game is unplayable because of the save system. I mean, it's not 1986 anymore.

Fallout: New Vegas6
Aug 15, 2013
I couldn't get myself to appreciate this game. Map is ridiculous, Italian localization is atrocious and above all there is no tutorial. I guess long-time Fallout players loved this one but if you're a new one (as I was) you have no idea about what's going on for most of the time. Also, graphics is horrible. That's a shame because the story sounds interesting but there are too much design flaws.

Burnout Paradise7
Aug 15, 2013
A very good game (I love the open world and the graphics), but a very very lazy port (irritating console-styled menus and no achievements). Feels great for a while but then you're not really pushed to keep trying the same races over and over again.

Deponia6
Aug 14, 2013
Deponia looks and sounds like it REALLY wants to be the next Monkey Island... failing. Characters are either uninteresting or unpalatable and the story is pretty unoriginal. Some puzzles are very good but the hardest thing in the game is to bear the tons of useless, witty dialogues that have nothing to do with the story.

NASCAR: The Game 20136
Aug 13, 2013
The worst AI from a racing game I've ever experienced. Cars will keep driving on their prearranged paths no matter if there's another one (including you) blocking the way. "AI balancing is still on-going and the team is hard at work on it". Too bad this would have been done BEFORE the game release, not three weeks later. I don't know. I tried to love this game because I really wanted to enjoy some different race experience (different from F1 and Rally) but I've never been able to. I'll be happy to change my vote when the Ai is still fixed but for now it's just a 6.

Borderlands 27
Aug 13, 2013
Never played the first one but I was intrigued by the critical acclaim Borderlands 2 received so I tried it up. My opinion is that it's a good game, but it's not a masterpiece. Graphics are awesome and some missions are really well designed but the overall story is not that intriguing and the neverending blabbering by Clap Trap is annoying as hell.

Resident Evil 65
Aug 12, 2013
Not really what I was expecting. I thought I had to fight infects in a set of very creepy and somewhere scary scenarios but this game was neither creepy nor scary (at least, in the first two hours, then I dropped it). All you have to do is watch unoriginal cut-scenes (I'm not against cut-scenes and I like to enjoy well-done... but those from this game aren't good at all) and basically do what the game tell you to do, when it tell you. Pretty dull. Also, too many characters: who wants to be a lady if there's no Jill choice? Mediocre.

Aug 12, 2013
I couldn't enjoy this game as much as I wanted, mostly because of the terrible graphics and control scheme. Also, no Steam achievements make Bully a dull game experience. Yes, you can freely roam around the interesting world (a school campus) and yes, there are many blabbering characters but without any in-game gratification you get bored veeery soon.

Mafia II7
Aug 11, 2013
Mafia II has great things in it: a stunning set of renderings, an interesting story, well-built characters, funny lines, nice guns and cars, awesome musics... This game would easily be a solid 9 if it wasn't for its big design flaws. What's the point of a dodge system like this? Why the open world if there's no side quests? What's with ALL that driving around? Why does the Police chase me for miles if I slightly touch another car but totally ignores the fact that I'm driving full-speed, wrong-way on the highway? I loved this game, but I also hated this game.

Wow. What a game. Stunning graphics, interesting story and characters, lots of side-missions, many different mini-games, a great-but-not-dispersive open world... this game would be perfect if it wasn't for the glitches (I had to restart three missions because of bugs). Wake (2013)2
Aug 2, 2013
What. The. Frak. Is This. The game starts in window mode and if you try to change it to full-screen... everything stops working and you have to close and restart the application, which now in fact occupies the whole screen, but the game still runs inside a very small rectangle ("What is this, a game for ants? CIT. Derek Zoolander"). So you change to window mode again (1280x960 is higher resolution available... is this really a 2013 game?) and... well things still are f**ked up. Eventually you manage to start the game and you realize two things: the first, Wake is the averagest average platformer in the history of average indie platformer; the second is that you're getting blind because of the atrocious in-game blur effect. That you can't disable. By changing a line in a system file in the game installation folder. Never again.

Payday: The Heist6
Aug 2, 2013
There are games out there I just don't understand. I may like them, but I still don't understand them. Payday is one of these. Why are there are no instructions about what I have to knowdo? Why am I allowed to slaughter an entire Army, but I get penalized if I kill just one civilian? Why does it take 10 seconds for us to open a not locked door? I feel like this game is only really enjoyable if you dedicate dozens and dozens of hours just to understand its aspects, otherwise it's just a dull "KILL TEH COPZ"-fest for the casual player. And to this end, again, some instructiondeep tutorial would be really useful.

Steam version is bugged as hell (major random input lag) and the developers have no idea why that happens (****/EAfRvN). I'll be happy to change my vote and review when the game actually runs but for now it's unplayable.

Postal 26
Aug 1, 2013
Yeah, not very funny. I never laughed or felt like I was being entertained, more like I was wasting some of my time instead. Some random violence is always welcome in videogames but another thing being highly welcome is not being force to wait 10-to-15 seconds every time you change location. Aside this the graphics is terrible (even for a 2003 games) and the jokes are not as witty as they'd want. Meh.

A FPSRTS mashup where the FPS part is good (not perfect, but good) and the RTS one is... well, unnecessary. Fact is without the RTS part the whole game would be an unnecessary, plain FPS so in the end it's very hard not to consider Nuclear Dawn quite a forgettable game.
