Yeah - lots to scrutinize.... the writing is pretty 'convenient' and bordering on incredulous. However - I liked the main characters and the actors who portrayed them. We're not talking award-winning acting but there is good credibility (outside the typically slight female attractive lead who can beat up any assassin twice her size-it would bother me but pretty standard fare these days as I guess we are all supposed to believe women can beat up men these days in an effort towards equality?) Simu Liu is quite good in his role - and Saul Rubinek is always worthwhile. Sinclair Daniel is a bit over her skiis also... but again - typical young beautiful female in a role that is way beyond her age and capabilities... but she is pleasant if not unbelievable. Beyond some typical poorly written spy/sci-fi believability - I found The Copenhagen Test to be very entertaining. The plot around Alexander's (Simu Liu) brain being hacked so his eyes and ears are basically a camera and microphone feeding the bad guys everything going on around him... may be 'out there' but it is played well and creates a good backdrop for the stories to play out. THere is a little bit of 'turning your head and coughing' to get through The Copenhagen Test - but not so much it takes away from it's entertainment value. There are many shows with similar or worse issues but aren't nearly as fun to watch. Hope we get a Season two - its set up for one!

The Copenhagen Test is a fun, bingeable spy show with enough twists to keep things interesting. Simu Liu is really solid as Alexander Hale, especially in the quieter moments where you can see his character wrestling with the moral side of the job. He holds the show together well, whether it’s action-heavy scenes, romantic beats, or more introspective episodes. Some of the mission details and dialogue get a little hard to follow at times - even if the complexity seems intentional - and a few episodes could have been shorter. Overall it’s an entertaining watch that doesn’t take itself too seriously and it's a grounded addition to the secret-agent genre.

Really enjoying this. The first episode was a little clunky, but after that it is much smoother and really pulls you in to the storyline. Everyone plays their part so well. Simu Liu, Melissa Barrera, and Sinclair Daniel really shine. Mark O’Brien is a real standout as well. Definitely worth the watch.

Muy buena, te hace pensar que tanto tienen a uno controlado hoy en día. Clave Simu Liu, para mi actor infravalorado. De acá a la china que es pura propaganda, pero se disfruta.

Fantastic show in both production quality and storyline. Not one variance from perfection.

Simu Liu stars as an espionage analyst who discovers that his own brain has been hacked. That means an evil entity is relying on his senses to give them access to world-changing information (is there any other kind in these shows?). As expected for the genre, there’s lots of sneaking around and confrontational discussions. What’s missing is much real action. This show relies on the continually throbbing soundtrack to add tension that the direction or editing failed to include. Liu maintains a poker face for much of the series, so his bland portrayal doesn’t add much depth. There’s the typical paranoia and expected double-crossings, which all feels convoluted and disjointed. Also, it’s very dark, literally. Even the offices for the government agencies are dim and it’s often hard to see the characters’ faces. Other than the sci-fi concept, nothing about this series is especially interesting, remotely suspenseful or mildly exciting. (8 one-hour eps)

Rounding up from an 8.5. Tl;dr cool concept and I want to see more. Very exciting and complicated (sometimes a little convoluted) plot with very interesting characters, each with their own motivations. Each layer that unfolded in the story was an excellent surprise. Yes, there are some minor plot hole moments but imo that happens in all ambitious sci-fi shows and didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. I binged my way through the show in a couple of days. I thought the concept was really fresh and different and hope there is a season two because I want to see what else they come up with!

This show captivates you from the very start. It definitely encourages you to stay on your toes, and fills the niche of romantic spy thriller very well!

Just another US state propaganda spy show, with nothing much to offer. The sci-fi part is rather unbelievable and the show does the classic Homelander thing where the lead has psychological problems, so they are the underdog, never mind they actually are doing imperialism for the most powerful country in the world

The Copenhagen Test is a razor-sharp espionage sci-fi thriller that actually respects its audience. Although it is admittedly a bit slow to start, the writing is intelligent and layered, blending moral tension with high-stakes intrigue. Simu Liu delivers a grounded, compelling performance that anchors the show, while the supporting cast elevates every scene with nuance and restraint. Stylish, cerebral, and emotionally gripping — this is “Spy-Fi” done right.

From the opening scene, this series takes a firm hold of your eyes and ears like you’re a subject in the Copenhagen Test. Don’t spend too much on your snacks because they will go untouched as you sit at the edge of your sweaty couch, gripped in suspense. Every plot twist arrives like it was delivered by helicopter, blindfolded, at midnight. The performances from the lead actors are so convincing they might actually be on a No Fly List now. Simu and Melissa make a dangerously rapturous duo every time they share the screen. Has there ever been sexier spies? Simu delivers the kind of intensity that makes you question your own loyalty to your country. His stare could cut through at least 70 zip ties at once. Visually, the show is stunning. From the colors, the tone, production design, every frame, every set looks like it was personally approved by a shadowy council in a glass room and then painted by Michelangelo. By the time an episode ends, Im reaching for the remote — but only to make sure the end credits aren’t being skipped because the music and score is that good, and the show so epic that you want to make sure Peacock sees that we’re lapping up every minute of an episode’s run time when they get their viewing data so that anybody on the show whose contingent compensation hinges on it gets their max reward. If this show were any better, it would literally be classified. If this show were any better, it would need a Congressional hearing for it to be released.

Great watch! Strong leads, interesting mashup of sci-fi/spy genres. Little bit of Bourne, little bit of Truman Show

I loved it!! This is what a Spy thriller should feel like. Simu Liu is a charismatic leading man and Melissa Barrera dazzles. I’m hope there will be a 2nd season!!

They need to start finding actors who can actually, you know, act. The lead in this show (Simu Liu) sounds like he is literally reading his lines from a cue card. Zero charisma from any of other headlining actors as well. The entire casting dept needs to be given their pink slips.Boring and trite writing, this has all been done before. The Copenhagen Test will be a one-and-done season, and yet another tax write-off for a struggling Peacock.

Horrible waste of time. Acting lackluster and boring. The lead actor put me to sleep. No personality and no emotion. Simu Liu shouldn't be acting. What a waste of time.

Generic, forgettable spy thriller that goes nowhere and ultimately a waste of time.
