Mythic Quest remains not only one of the smartest workplace comedies around but one of the funniest shows on TV.

Is in league with some of TV’s best. It’s a smart, energetic series that contains what may be the most important element in a successful comedy: an alchemical ensemble of characters, each one as curious and distinct as the next.

This show has so much charm. It's great as a drama and a comedy. I love all the characters, and I care about them like they are my friends.

I thought it was a lame copy cat of other comedies but instead **** of friends (or a set of software devs in silicon valley), it’s a group of video game designers. But this is so much more. It’s funny, charming, relevant and even political in its undertones. Definitely worth a watch for anyone. And if you’re a lover of video games, you’ll wonder how you’ve gone so long without watching this. It’s fantastic

Mythic Quest is funny. And Mythic Quest is capable of real feeling. The show’s biggest demerit, then, is that it can’t seem to find a way to be both at the same time; rather, it frequently feels like a tag-team match between its two sensibilities, with comedy doing the heavy lifting for the vast majority of that time. But that disjointed feeling isn’t enough to sabotage all the things Mythic Quest actually gets right.

The jokes don’t always land, and when they do, they’re still fairly low-hanging. Still, Mythic Quest is more than its occasionally unfunny, occasionally hilarious sense of humor. ... Fortunately, skirting spoilers, the ending of Season 2 is, in a word, promising. The future of Mythic Quest is ripe with opportunities for these characters to grow.

It’s good enough. ... Some of the developments are more successful than others, but that hit-or-miss quality doesn’t detract from the overall giddiness of the nine episodes.

Though the characters are ill-tempered, the show comprises generally good-natured tales of competing egos and angry compromises.

The first few episodes are so full of smirk-inducing, long-winded bits that stammer on for such prolonged, repetitive back-and-forths that you’d think Judd Apatow let the cast run wild. ... Sometimes Mythic Quest’ll try for romantic or feel-good subplots that just utterly crash and burn, with little blame resting on their actors. ... Not just an unfunny comedy, but an entirely ineffective show that doesn’t seem to know what it is or where it’s going in a second season that Apple has already greenlit.

Awesome show! I was really surprised how good this show is. Very funny! If you are into gaming or the gaming business the show is so great! But also for people who are not into gaming! Love it and can’t wait for next season!

Half really funny, half eye rollingly bad. Kind of painful to watch, plus character arcs are repetitive, like Poppy desperate for Ian's **** 3 seasons? Characters are thin stereotypes, which can be used to great comic effect, but also can be bland and feel completely fake. Double edged sword...half of the episodes are really smart and half are going for low hanging fruit or worse, aggressively stupid. This unevenness makes the show tiresome. Can't finish season 3...I enjoyed certain episodes but, I'm out.

Had a lot of potential but it's a huge misfire of a tv series. The writing is overall very bland

This is a very derivative, traditional workplace comedy. I found the story arcs and the character arcs pretty predictable. The leading lady is one of those female characters that doesn’t really have a personality. I feel like I’ve seen this before

This show is quite literally unbearable. There can be humor in a "village idiot" character - but not when the entire show involves this behavior. It is hard to believe that any of these characters would even survive an internship at a videogame development studio and i cannot stomach the idiocy. I'll state my bias - Mac is my least favorite of the Sunny bunch - and seeing him play that character (turned up to 100) non-stop is brutal.
Anyhow - teens and desperate geeks / sunny fans - enjoy. For the remaining 99% - i recommend skipping.
And for the record this does NOT share a pedestal with the great silicone valley!
