While Kenan may not be groundbreaking comedy on its face, it provides much needed emotional comfort and laughs and that's invaluable right now.

It looks like a smart embrace of Thompson’s strengths as a performer, plus a bittersweet streak of tenderness that could make the show stand out should it decide to lean in.

Kenan does a great job at making sure his personality and charm shines through the show. I had a great time watching the show. Definitely a feel good show. Absolutely great cast and amazing writing makes the show very relatable and funny. Would definitely watch again!

It's a funny and touching show. It's actually quite pleasant. I've seen Kenan on interviews and he's a genuinely sweet, down-to-earth gentleman, so wonderful for him.

Amiable. ... Much of the action revolves around the family, who seem authentically related, but there are also excursions into manic hijinks where grown men get everything wrong and wind up breaking stuff. Anyway, it’s an easy hang.

Kenan Thompson makes for a strong center to what looks like will be a warm family sitcom. It has some pacing issues, but by the end of the first episode, we were confident that they would be smoothed out.

There’s some humor to be mined in flashbacks illustrating how Kenan and his wife met on the set of a sitcom – she was only three years older than him but played his character’s mother on the TV show – but the present-day stuff is pretty unfunny, marking this series as a dud on arrival.

"Kenan" stays rooted in the here and now, showing a more vulnerable side of its star, but surrounding him with pretty stale sitcom trappings.

With five characters and about four jokes, Kenan violates even the loosest Hollywood mathematical equations for success.

I absolutely love Kenan and his show! This show is so fun to watch either alone or as a family when you’re looking for some fun entertainment! Kenan is so funny and he is such a positive influence on his two daughters! It is just so wonderful to see! I hope this show goes on forever since it’s just such a fun way to relax with my family after a long day. If I could give 11 stars I would!

"Kenan" was released at such a timely moment. Emotional comfort and understanding depression really is all we need. Of course, a little comedy doesn't hurt when Kenan makes a powerful example for his two daughters on life's expectations. Life can be tough sometimes when you don't have a partner by your side, but "Kenan" reinforces that you don't have to grieve alone. This is such an amazing show!

Kenan is a fun, sweet show, with family-friendly humor that adults can enjoy too. My favorite character is Gary, the hapless brother, and his lines are some of the best. Don Johnson brings a homey feeling to the show, and having a multi-generational mixed-race household is just a Tuesday at their house. Fun to watch!
