This is among one of my favorite TV shows of all time. The awesome atmosphere and setting of the spaceship, the charm of the characters and the chemistry between all of them, and the wonderful adventures that always draws me in for the rest of the episode. This show never feels like a drag when watching, and the "whedonizaton" of the dialogue never feels super forced or out of place (Unlike some marvel movies that have been coming out recently). My only complaint about this show is how Fox decided to cancel it after the first season! Joss planned for this to be a big, vast world, where river's story was more fleshed out, along with the reavers. I will say, there is a risk with that, because while it could have ended up being 4 more seasons of amazing sci-fi content, maybe breaking out to the mainstream so more people would know about this show, it could have also had a sad decline in quality as the seasons progressed. Only god knows whether it only having one season saved it or held it back. Overall, I love every episode of this show, and i never fail to get entertained by this show.

The best Joss Whedon ever gave us and ultimately where he should have stayed! This is certainly near the peak of 2000's Sci-Fi TV! Underappreciated and sabotaged but thankfully we have it on physical and digital to relive this absolute hit series!

The show intended to be a Star Wars kind of drama with a lot of people trying to figure out their lives in a bleak pioneer environment.

My favorite TV Show of all time. Funny, action packed, and a great story. I revisit this show all the time and wish that it ran for a few more seasons. What we have is a perfect experience all around though, so I guess I can't complain.

Clearly a very good show: no episode is very bad, some are even top, especially the beginning. There was room for many contents, but someone stopped this show only after 14 episodes, what a mistake. The characters are very good, especially Malcolm and the shepherd. The universe sounds interesting, but never been told in details, which is a shame. Unfortunately they focused on some western stories. Music was good, the humour too.

Why do people stan for this barely watchable series? Feels like the Hanna-Barbera of SciFi.

Bonne nouvelle (quand même), il n’y a eu qu’une seule saison de ce truc ! mais 14 épisodes (quand même), ce qui fait au bas mot (quand même) 14 épisodes de trop. Bien sûr, très peu de moyens ici, ce qui ne constitue pas une excuse ou une dispense pour autant… Sinon, t’imagines ? tiens, voilà une dispense, t’as le droit de faire de la merde ! (autant que tu veux). Alors évidemment, ce tout petit budget nuit déjà beaucoup à cette piètre série de SF mais quand on n’a pas de pétrole, on a des idées, non ? eh bien non, pas d’idées non plus, non, non. Dans le genre bidon, je croyais avoir tout vu avec Stargate SG-1 (par exemple) mais ici, ils se surpassent ! même les acteurs sont mauvais et n’y croient pas (et les actrices aussi, pour la parité, si, si). Comment résumer tout cela en quelques mots ou quelques « marques » de comparaison : Tati, Prisunic, Leader Price, Lidl, Aldi…

A classic that was cancelled before it could even complete its first season. It's a space western so it did something new that hadn't been done before as a live action show. One of the classics.

Wonderful. Just wonderful. The character development in this hilarious yet also deep and impactful series is amzaing, and it is such a shame it was cut short, as the series was set up to easily run on for five or six more solid seasons. The only bad thing I can think of is the incompleted plot, but that is only because they canceled the show due to advertising and marketing stuff. Since then, the show has gained a cult following of practically everyone who has seen the show. 11/10 (extra point for the great concept that could have been expanded and made even better (if that's even possible))

Underrated Series that was cut short way too soon. If you never watched Firefly,then you're missing out on good and sadly short television show. Firefly is certainly worth your time and feel free to watch the film Serenity afterwards. An excellent Sci-fi western. 9/10.

life changing I watched the whole series last year. There simply aren't enough. This is a new genre. I want more. Sure, I watched the movies I still want more

This is the best sci-fi series ever! The acting is excellent. On-screen chemistry is clearly excellent and what's great is that the actors have remained friends ever since, often appearing in each others shows. The firefly fan community has remained steadfast on wanting the series returned - that is how much this show is lived and how much it has brought people together. Love it!

Space western. Lot deeper than you'd expect. Character developement is quite uncanny. Quite funny as well, although on ocassion it will leave you in tears. All in all adventures of a crew you will not only like to see, but would love to join.

Its literally a Crime that show was discontinued after 1 **** of the Greatest Space-opera's Ever Made,the theme and Feel of the show is Incredibly Awesome,the story,the music and intro,the Visuals and CGI its the Master-class,Each and every Character was brilliant and sarcastic,the adventure through-out the show the planets and cultures it was amazingly showcased,One of my Favorite episode was "Our Mrs Reynolds" it was that hilarious and shocking my mouth started paining cause of laughs it was awesome episode,the ending episode was amazing and emotionally satisfying although many plot-points were incomplete it's a brilliant episode,Literally Each and Every episode in this show is worth **** Whole Show is an incredible Masterpiece.

I loved this show and still do. There was so much more that could have been done with this storyline and the characters themselves. To me the movie Serenity was a cheap ending and not well done. I wanted to know more about Shepard and his back story who was he??!! Mel was a great Character and there was so much potential there for his character to grow and develop more. Along with Zoe, Wash, and Jane!! If there was any show I wish would come back to TV it would be Firefly.. so much potential!!!!

Best space western that has or ever will be made. Somehow this was canceled but Batwoman will get a season 2. It's ridiculous.

Essentially a western set in space, Firefly follows the crew of the spaceship Serenity as they attempt to make a living (and stay alive) having found themselves on the losing side of a civil war. I may be biased to all things Josh Whedon but if ever a show deserved to be treated better by TV execs it was Firefly. You may only get 14 episodes, and the spin off movie 'Serenity' that wrapped up a number of loose ends, but you will not find a better sci-fi show in the history of television.

This piece of entertainment is arguably the most imeersive adventure/sci-fi. Despite it's minor disadvantages (like how is Inara's job respectable in the future, or why Jane (doesn't) betray the crew under different circumstances... and, of course, THE GRAPHIX (even by the standards of it's time and it's place) "Firefly" is still worth all the best ratings and hopefully - some sort of continuation (ideological at least). Yes, I've just said it in 2020, more than 17 years past it's over. Only this fact tells everything about "Firefly".

I have 75 words to type so all I can say is, how can this show be canceled yet crap shows like Modern Family/Grays Anatomy/Criminal Minds be allowed to continue. TV **** now.

One of the best SyFy shows out there, have re-watched it many times, very enjoyable, so upset it was cancelled by "accountants"with no imagination.
