Though he's playing a smarter, wittier, more self aware character than he did in The Office, Gervais displays the same gift for the social faux pas, and the same inability to extract himself from increasingly improper conversations.

Excellent writing, amazing actors. Classic British sit-com with vertical storylines per episodes for the first season, very very very funny. Second season has a deeper "dramedy" vibe, with a broader horizontal arc for the protagonists and a bittersweet final
