Chicago P.D.

The Dick Wolf-produced drama is darker than its sister show, but it packs potential for fun with the city’s cops and firefighters crossing paths both on and off the job.

Chicago P.D. is, in many ways, a throwback to an earlier, male-dominated era of crime shows, yet it carves out room for strong female characters who are good at their jobs and taken seriously by their colleagues--and the writers.

Chicago Fire is positioned to succeed. Assuming it uses Hank to wrestle with deeper issues and not just explore all the ways his team can get dirtbags to spill, it’s got a great chance.

As executed, it almost seems like a parody of the genre.... Beghe's growly, macho performance is hard to stomach, getting in the way of even noticing the attractive supporting cast.

Unfortunately, Chicago P.D. is just that--a reminder, a breathy echo of other, much better shows. Many of which are available in affordable DVD packages and on various streaming services.

It tries too hard to get down and dirty in the messy mire where crime happens. It just ends up messy, but without any real grit.

Chicago PD, is the most arrogantly conceived display of bare-knuckled hooey since the mercifully short-lived Ironside reboot, which polluted the same Wednesday 10/9c time period last fall.

This series is amazing i love the fact that Hank Voight has his ruthless methods in getting the job done right the first time. He doesn't let anyone get in his way. But when he does back down, he is doing it because he can. Honestly this is the best show ever. its worth binge watching 60 episodes in one sitting. i say that because i've done it

It's alright to watch aimlessly; I can watch this in bed and fall asleep mostly due to the sub-par acting and the camera shots that sometimes feel very cheap. I do like my Police & Detective series, but this might be the lowest on my list of PD series watched.

Jason Beghe sounds like he’s losing a lung every time he speaks, but I’ve grown to care about a couple of the characters, which if they’re gone I may stop watching. The new ethnic characters and their circumstances seem contrived and just uninteresting. Now that FBI funds are freed up maybe they can develop more intrigue in other areas.

Show would be better if Haley was removed, I have never liked her character, I find it very aggravating that she never followers orders she is very argumentative, I almost don't even want to watch it. Get it rid of her.

This used to be a great show. Now every episode they throw in GD. It is so unnecessary. I watch many other shows in this genre that do not use such coarse language. If this continues me and many of my family and friends are done with Chicago PD.
