Sad is that is, we have to admire a show that knows when to call it quits and goes out on top. Broadchurch does just that.

This series should have been advertised many more. Just amazing, drama and suspense and incredible acting.
No weak link in the cast, director has great shots and cinematography. Great screenplay, keeps you guessing all way till end.
Olivia Coleman is the star for me, I thought she was brilliant in every scene, she is incredible and I hope I see more of her. The movie has a LOT of emotional scenes and everyone does such a great job, no over over acts, everyone is believable. Must see, I highly recommend

Fantastic performances by Olivia Coleman and David Tennant lead this drama, which is absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. The unfolding of the crimes is gripping, but it's the characters and the full range of humor, anguish, passion, and frailty who grow on you from season to season, making this series impossible to tear yourself away from once you've been let into their lives.

Given how wonderful its first season was, the fact that Broadchurch has turned into such a muddle is the bigger disappointment. Despite the usual array of finely calibrated performances, the second season simply doesn't work, in large part because it consciously and deliberately undoes much of what was powerful about the shattering conclusion to the first season.
