I loved the first episode and found many things to mull over and enjoy in the next two, and I liked how they play as an extension of where we left off in the third season. ... It’s still not a world in which they’re comfortable or consistently welcomed. That pervasive unease, equal parts hilarious and nightmarish, may be Atlanta‘s ultimate commentary on storytelling and on contemporary America. I intend to relish this closing run of eight episodes, whatever they happen to be.

Atlanta Season 2 is funny. The laughs are often as unexpected as they are uncomfortable, and the series delights in pushing you to the edge before dropping an unexpected punchline. ... But Atlanta’s oddness is its greatest strength. It’s a show that feels as hard-to-define as its characters; what seems easy to explain on the surface gets messy and complicated upon further examination.

This is one of the greatest shows of all time. Season 3 is weaker than the others but it has grown on me with time. Season 2 is my favorite.

A television masterpiece. Donald Glover has created an all-time classic series. Has a ton of rewatchability. It’s hilarious, inciteful and just feels fresh. Easy 10/10.

Robbin' Season is cloaked in a heavy yet strangely exhilarating veil of dread. ... Yet there are moments of wonder within the brutally and beautifully pragmatic Robbin' Season.

Threading in these many varied parts and themes into what is, once again, one of TV’s most intriguing pieces of performance art. But it’s also saying something in an artful way; this is not TV vegetables, there aren’t lessons to be learned exactly. There are thoughtful impressions, strange occurrences, exceptional happenstance. In many ways, Atlanta is creating its own folklore.

The deliberate pacing and dreamy, surreal tone of Atlanta may prove too off-putting for viewers searching for easy entertainment. But those thirsting for a fearless, fresh perspective in comedy will find much to appreciate here.

Far from a whimsical travelogue, this season of Atlanta has an off-kilter vibe that rattles your nerves. [28 Mar - 10 Apr 2022, p.7]

It benefits from the sort of deadpan, off-the-wall humor that powered 30 Rock.

This show is some of the highest level of storytelling you can watch. I use storytelling for lack of other words, but each episode is like a life experience that many people can really relate to. There are present day examples but presented in a way that is very interesting, entertaining, funny and enlightening. Donald Glover really out did himself every episode and the actors were spot on in making the vision come to life. This is a must watch experience from S1 to S4.

OUTSTANDING, from political interpretations to a Bold, ambitious, and creative plot 'Atlanta' transcends traditional notions of the television genre. Whilst consistently funny and dramatic, the tone of the show, particularly in the latter half of the second season, shifts from episode to episode and works best. This is an absolute must watch.

Insightful, hilarious, angry, mellow, thoughtful; any number of words could be used to describe this show and still barely cover the full gamut of what it has to offer. We need Season 3.
