Dragon Quest VII – Reimagined, for someone playing it for the first time, is just a by-the-numbers old-fashioned JRPG experience, updated for modern audiences, which at times tires with its repetitiveness, while for those who have tried the original, perhaps nostalgia will touch them a little more.
Cairn is bringing back the original spirit of indie games about being innovative and thinking outside the box. With a simple gameplay manages to hook up players and suck them into his slow-paced world.
Once it receives some necessary content updates, it will be yet another quality indie homage to the legendary RPGs of the 90s. Until then, it is mainly recommended for those who are impatiently looking for their next RPG, or for AtomTeam fans who want to support the developers.
