Wonders of the Sea doesn’t break much in the way of new ground. We’ve seen slow-motion sting-rays, spiny lobsters, hermit crabs, octopi and moray eels before. But the extreme close-ups, vivid colors of the various habitats the Cousteaus take us are worth the price of admission. And if ever there was a time we need to be reminded of what we need to save in the briny blue, it’s now.

A combination of state-of-the-art cinematography and old-fashioned documentary storytelling, this gorgeous film is 3D visually, but frustratingly two-dimensional otherwise.

Film Threat
It won’t necessarily blow your mind, but it’s refreshing to have a gentle, hopeful ode to our oceans, in contrast to all the “doom and gloom” environmental docs that come out these days.

I absolutely loved the film, it was a true immersive experience, I felt like I was diving along with Jean-Michel Cousteau's Family! Arnold's narration was so great and quite funny, loved the "I'll be back" line ;) My kids also loved it, they were trying to catch the fish coming out of the screen thanks to the amazing 3D! Go without hesitation :)

Great film, with good 3D for once. It's worth it for the images, but also for the environmental message. Cousteau doesn't guilt-trip us into caring more, but instead he shows the beauty of the ocean, which is convincing enough. LIKED. Very much.
