Who knew that Unstoppable would be sensational? Talk about well-kept- and welcome-surprises. Tony Scott's latest thriller turns out to be pure cinema in the classic sense of the term. It's a motion picture about motion, an action symphony that gives new meaning to the notion of a one-track mind.
The real star here is the big, unmanned freight train sparking through Pennsylvania at 70 m.p.h. while carrying hazardous cargo. Best of all, the train doesn't have any dialogue.
This movie is the best train action movie in entire world. With best in the world shots, sound designing, vfx and story that makes you think what gonna happen next is truly awesome.
A really great masterpiece in my opinion that I’ve seen ever. Props goes to the actors and special effects people that worked on this movie. It really **** hard that little to no one talks about this great movie. I get that there are some stereotypes in this movie and that some of the writing is corny, but I will always love this movie even 11 years after its release. It’s an intense and jaw dropping experience that is worth seeing. In all, I like this and if you see it, you will understand why I like it
It's like a mashup of classic commercials for Ford pickup trucks, Bud Lite, and Hooters (where, God help us, Frank's daughters are working their way through college).
It's manic and wearyingly predictable, and as soon as it begins, you know exactly how it's going to end: with a hard, fast crash (and the requisite yakkety epilogue).
Denzel is lower key until the role calls for action. Every character is perfectly cast and the movie is well edited to avoid the usual long soapy scenes. The lead character is definitely the train, but I bet that was so when a similar incident happened. It was edge of the seat action. Held our attention and kept us engaged. Great fun - everything it should be.
Unstoppable is an intense, high-energy thriller that keeps you on edge from start to finish. The premise is simple but packed with tension, and the performances by Denzel Washington and Chris Pine elevate the film. Their chemistry makes the stakes feel real, and you genuinely connect with their characters. The movie does a great job of building suspense, and the pacing never lets up, making it an easy and engaging watch. That being said, the script didn't fully hold up for me. While I understand the need for character-building moments, some of the dialogue felt excessive and took away from the urgency of the story. The film could have focused more on developing the plot instead of lingering on conversations that didn't add much. I also had issues with the cinematography, especially the constant swirling camera movements. It felt like an attempt to create a sense of motion and energy, but instead, it became distracting and even frustrating at times. Despite its flaws, Unstoppable delivers where it counts. The action sequences are well-executed, the intensity is gripping, and the climax is satisfying even if expected. It may not have the strongest script, but the solid performances and non-stop momentum make it an entertaining ride. If you're looking for a fast-paced thriller with strong leads and adrenaline-pumping moments, it's worth a watch.
A fotografia é confusa.
