Dennis Hopper's final role is a desperate Ed-Wood type movie maker struggling to find a critical audience for his disaster of a movie. The Last Film Festival is a great mix of comedy, thanks to the performances by Donnell Rawlings playing on a racially-charged director, Chris Kattan's voyeuristic "Harvey Weinstein," and Hopper's character's numerous infidelities.
