Heather Graham has proven that she has undeniable range as an actress, and this wild and gory ride into Lovecraftian horror is a nod to her ability to entertain in some downright sordid environments. Suitable Flesh is right up the alley of anyone who loves the Dunwich Horror, and the mythos associated with the Cthulu and Yog Sothoth. The ritualistic horror brought into a more modern environment is refreshing but being from the minds of these creators - you're going to see everything that made Lovecraft horror legendary. It is a twisty, and shocking ride into the mental breakdown of a person dealing with entities that have power beyond one's wildest imaginings and how a doctor in psychology can often run into things even they do not understand nor can defeat.This isn't a horror film that ends happily, so if you aren't prepared for a godawful ending I wouldn't suggest this one for you. Still, if you like movies like Hellraiser and authors like Clive Barker with deeply dark and demented retellings - this is exactly what you're looking for.

While promising in its conception Suitable Flesh turns out to be a disappointment. Nowadays people hear that a movie is based on a Lovecraft story and that seems to gratuitously add a quality to it that it doesn't actually have.While it's undeniable that the movie had the potential to be a captivating cosmic horror thriller, its execution is marred by a lack of finesse, resulting in a disappointing outcome that never truly takes off. And this goes from how cheap it looks to its overly simplistic screenplay.Heather Graham looks more committed than one might expect, but, in the grand scheme of things, Suitable Flesh fails to leave a lingering impression that would actually matter.
