The movie is very good and contains epic fight scenes, unrestrained action, and some plot holes that end up making some things funny. But Nikki's motivation is respectful, and I must admit I've had a soft spot for the special forces mother archetype ever since Sonya Blade in MK11. In short, what ruins the movie is the ending.

Man this movie was jaw dropping filled with action and so much depth in Milla's character as Nikki. And I can say this movie portrays actual real life events of how the sex trafficking is and how the law enforcement is so messed up here in America. It also gives and understanding of how mothers who are in the Military and what they do for our country being away from there daughters. The only down side to this movie is the ending but I do understand why they did that plot twist on a mental note and someone like myself suffers with mental health I can only imagine of what its like for people in the military I don't really want to spoil it but you'll know when you watch other than that this is a fantastic movie Milla is a bad a$s queen and she has a lot of fight sequences and using multiple weapons in this movie. There no. Confusion with this movie it gets straight to the moiont through the a screen play of the movie. Milla please star in more movies like this

Either the twist needed to come earlier, or the filmmakers needed to do a better job of making sure it provided enough of a jolt to make the previous, largely generic 85 minutes worth the effort. As it stands, Protector's twist ending feels adrift in a movie that's not compelling enough to support it.

Dragged down by over-explanatory dialogue and tired narrative tropes, Protector brings nothing new to the table–except maybe for a confounding 11th hour twist that I won’t spoil that defies reasoning and frankly, good taste. If anyone needs rescuing, it’s Jovovich from this movie.

"Protector" is a lean, action-packed and gritty crime thriller that's also uninspired, tedious, clunky and increasingly preposterous. Mila Jovovich crafts an interestingly troubled and sympathetic character in this action thriller, but her work is in service of a flawed, confusing script that leaves off with a bewildered point.

Just an cringe feminist fever dream. Mila hasn't produced watchable content since first Resident evil and 5th element. Her being stuck with limited talent husband director and becoming embarrassingly woke kind of sealed her career. Sadly looks like she's bringing down same path her daughter also. I think it's too late for second run for her. Shame, because she had every chance of becoming A lister. Obviously she's very limited as pure acting goes, but have dense presence and charisma, with right manager to choose scripts and roles, she could be feasting on roles equivalent of Keanu Reeves John Wick, or similar to resident evil bad ass lady kicking zombie dogs.
