Inhuman though it may be, this is far-and-away the most humane of “Predators,” expanding rather than skimping on the series’ blood hunt fundamentals. That kind of daring and intelligence makes “Badlands” the coolest science fiction adventure seen in eons.

This is not just a cheap rehash of the story beats of an earlier film. It is not a legacyquel that trots out a few beloved old characters to bestow their blessing on a new generation. It takes the core elements of this concept and reconfigures them into something new.

It was definitely worth watching. Even people who don't know the universe should give this movie a chance. It was an action-packed and entertaining film where I discovered the Predators' perspective and learned about their culture. They tried a formula that hadn't been tried before, and I think they were really successful. The various exciting elements shown in the film never seemed to end. I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel.

In an odd way, Predator: Badlands is a date-night movie posing as merely a sci-fi killing jamboree. All of those lovable lummoxes out there with their hyper-verbal lady friends will learn a little about cooperation.

The lack of genuine slaughter in Badlands isn’t the film’s only problem. While it flips the franchise’s history by making the Yautja a hero instead of a villain . . . there is not nearly enough tension or world-building on display to become invested in this particular game of kill-or-be-killed.

Literally the best action movie i have seen in a very long time! If you have and oled and surround sound nothing can beat it. Full of action kept me glued to the screen. Not just a remake but a full on new movie it is so bad***

Average plot, average screenplay, average performances with an average budget gives a pretty average overall experience. Bizarre reconning of the yautja gives less of a "predator" like vibe instead delivering a more nuanced culture like a kilingon star trek episode with articulated words rather than noises. Overall this felt like an entertaingly wasteful use of the (no doubt) expensive IP.

Hollywood can't accept that the yautja are non sympathetic hunters. Brutal beings. And they just can't help but to humanize them and make them weaker for a weaker audience. Pathetic.
