Delightful comedy of manners.

If nothing else, Sophie Fillières's Ouch! is a secret pop culture index.

It's neither romantic nor particularly funny.

The marvelous Dussolier makes a poignantly aging lothario, but Fillieres is so off-puttingly strange, we don't really care what she thinks about.

A strange Gallic imitation of a Woody Allen comedy, replete with a neurotic older hero.

"Ouch!" is also what you might exclaim as you pinch yourself to stay awake through the film's slow, labored contrivances.
