A Troubling and Delicate Exploration of Love, Alienation, and Uncomfortable Reality.210203 (2.5)The world drawn by my heart, and you who sees that world exactly as it is. Throughout the film, Jong-du seemed irrational, and while he is portrayed as relatively decent compared to the intellectual brother who curses while trying to collect compensation money for his disabled sister and get rid of her, or Jong-du's own brother who used his difficult younger sibling as a prison scapegoat when convenient, Jong-du is still a criminal lacking proper moral and sexual judgment. That should never be beautified. Wow... Moon So-ri is intense. Did she observe real people with disabilities? It feels somewhat exaggerated, but in reality, it probably isn't. It must be so difficult for people with disabilities that hinder communication. A man who lacks common sense and cannot communicate with ordinary society easily understands the speech of a woman who struggles to talk to people. Watching the woman's emotional expression, I even wondered if the later incident might not have been attempted ****; perhaps they were both struggling in mutual affection. Still, I question why that scene was necessary. Was that specific moment ****? What was the attempted **** earlier then? The troublemaker man was actually making sacrifices for his family. The woman turns out to be the daughter of the victim his brother killed in a hit-and-run accident. I cannot purely defend Jong-du. He is an explicit three-time ex-convict (even if one charge belonged to his brother). Because he likes the woman and wants to date her, he immediately strips her clothes and touches her breasts without consent. He is by no means a good person. Yet the film portrays this pure love as beautiful, suggesting that even if this man is broken, that love is genuine. While being moved, I still found it dangerous. A crime is a crime, and nothing should justify glorifying that character.
