It puts a conservative twist on Michael Moore-ism, with campy stock footage, deadpan humor, mocking musical cues and less-than-ingenuous questions.

It's hard to pinpoint what's most insulting about this obvious propaganda piece.

People don't like admitting they are wrong that's why the ratings are so low. It IS a great documentary

Rotten Tomatoes critics' review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed - 11%. Rotten Tomatoes critics' review of Fahrenheit 911 - 83% I love how Stein proved his point. Look at the above - the mainstream media LOVED a left-leaning documentary but HATED a right-leaning one. They hate it, but they further prove his point! I should point out that on metacritic the numbers were also lopsided, although not quite so drastically. I'm a middle of the road independent. I don't like MSNBC or Fox News, but I do like watching people squirm. The people on the right have many flaws, but one flaw that this highlights about people on the left is that "they can dish it out, but they can't take it." It's almost like they're saying, "no fair fighting back!" As an independent, I like to consider all points of view, and make my logical conclusion. That's the way it should be, in my opinion, but so many people lean left or right, and have made up their minds before considering the evidence. You have to admit that Stein did a great job pointing out the bias that exists in the mainstream. There's so much in the media that leans left, surely we can tolerate the occasional right-leaning documentary, right? The farther you go to the left or to the right, the more closed-minded you become.

A straightforward account of the debate between evolutionists and ID proponents might have been both entertaining and enlightening; instead this follows the avuncular Ben Stein (who cowrote the movie) as he jet-sets around the globe trying to prove that a cabal of Darwinians has conspired to destroy academic freedom.

As a work of nonfiction filmmaking it is a sham and as agitprop it is too flimsy to strike any serious blows.

Bizarre and hysterical.

Stein's schlumpy presence is disarming, though his know-it-all nature is at odds with his free-speech posing.

Make Ben Stein some more money (and get a good, mordant chuckle while you're at it) by checking out this loopy, factually befuddled documentary that should manage the not-inconsiderable feat of insulting Christians, Jews, Muslims, and those nutty sci-guys who go in for Darwin by way of bad teeth and Einsteinian hair styles.

Despite your religious or social beliefs this is a horrible documentary. The first half of the movie is a failure because intelligent design theories SIMPLY CANNOT BE EQUATED TO SCIENTIFIC ONES; They're not science. The second half is an academic embarrassment because it's blatant rhetoric without substance. I gave it a 1 because I enjoyed hating it.

This movie is complete propaganda and has no educational value. Ben Stein ignores scientific evidence and wants his beliefs to be taught as science. If you are confused about evolution, maybe it's a better idea to learn about it from actual scientists, and not idiots with an agenda like Ben Stein.

'science leads to killing people' actual line from mr stein, need i say more about this DISHONEST lying "documentary" that dribbles on on, with very easily noticed editing tricks during so called interviews, Stein is a joke

Not only is it insultingly stupid, it's not even HONEST. Check elsewhere for documentation of the sleazy tactics employed by the producers, misleading the interviewees about the nature of the movie, relentlessly quote mining their interviews to make it look like they said things they didn't mean, et al. If there weren't an army of fundamentalist idiots in the U.S. who distrust all of science for the sole reason that some of it doesn't sit well with their religious beliefs, NO ONE would even have wasted their money to go see this movie.

'Vile propaganda' summarizes this perfectly. No scientific value. No entertainment value. Instead of traveling the globe over several years, the creator of this movie would have been better off attending middle-school again.
