Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC Elvis Presley in Concert restores Elvis’s legendary performances with stunning clarity, This is the best music documentary I have ever seen. Might just be the best music documentary that was ever created. Honoring both Elvis and the incredible TCB Band that powered his live shows. Luhrmann rebuilt the film from original footage and added over 40 minutes of never-before-seen film angles, creating a seamless, high-energy concert experience that lets fans feel like they’re right there in the arena. Elvis has never been seen or heard nearly this good before —it’s a radical improvement and historic document of what can be done today with film. Elvis Presley - vocals and guitar. James Burton – lead guitar• One of the greatest guitarists ever. His Telecaster tone defined Elvis’s Vegas and touring sound. Ronnie Tutt – drums• Powerful, dynamic drummer who matched Elvis’s stage energy perfectly. You don’t just hear Ronnie Tutt’s drums… you FEEL Ronnie Tutt’s drums!! Glen D. Hardin – piano, arrangements• Also arranged many of Elvis’s live songs and rehearsals. Jerry Scheff – bass• Deep, driving bass lines; also played with The Doors later. His brilliant bass playing is very very very noticeable in this movie!!! John Wilkinson – rhythm guitar• Solid rhythm backing that held the live sound together. .The Sweet Inspirations – backing vocal group• Estelle Brown, Sylvia Shemwell, Myrna Smith. The Imperials Quartet – gospel backing vocals (1970–71 era) JD Sumner & The Stamps in 1971.Orchestra conductor Joe Guercio• Led the full orchestra.

EPiC is a beautiful and moving film that shows us the essence of Elvis Presley with a focus on his legendary concert performances in the early 70s. It forgoes the tabloid stuff in favor of the man's eclectic music and commanding stage presence. Using Elvis' own words in various interviews, Baz Luhrmann and his team string together rehearsal and concert footages that are often rare or previously unseen. In 96 minutes, the God-given talent, humor, passion and dedication of Elvis at his prime come through loud and clear.

Elvis in his own words, framed through Baz Luhrmann's signature luxurious style, feels almost like perfection, there's something genuinely thrilling about watching the King himself rehearse and perform on the big screen, i've always preferred documentaries where the story is narrated by the central figure itself. The film is filled with beautifully restored, high-resolution footage that looks incredible, even in documentary form, Baz Luhrmann's touch is unmistakable, stylish, energetic, and consistently entertaining, much like what he brought to Elvis, it feels like a one of a kind cinematic experience, almost mesmerizing at times. In my opinion, EPiC is the perfect introduction for anyone new to Elvis Presley, instead of focusing on the darker, more depressing chapters of his life, the film highlights what truly made him unforgettable, his charm, his charisma, his creative spark, and that larger than life aura, it presents the King at his best, with respect and admiration. At 97 minutes, it leaves you wanting more, which honestly says a lot, and watching it in IMAX makes it even more powerful, EPiC really is epic.
