'Dog on Trial' is a comedy with a fun concept about a dog brought to court for being a repeat offender; however, the execution leaves much to be desired, especially when it attempts to tackle contemporary social issues too seriously. Not all of its jokes land well (it could even seem like a parody of 'Anatomy of a Fall'), and some are problematic, but at least Kodi the dog delivers a memorable performance.
