It crumbles because of its hollow and poor execution. More than anything it's just banal and superficial. When the suspense starts to show its face, it's no longer really interesting It's basically like Flatliners, but here they're dealing with the effects of not sleeping, and the consequences are kinda similar, like the hallucinations. Only here there is a villain behind the curtain. Totally disposable.
