The Hollywood Reporter
Splashed and accessorized with brainy nonsense, "D.E.B.S." is a "H.O.O.T."

Washington Post
It's so spoofy it's difficult to call 'good' or even 'bad'; just say it's smooth.

The Globe and Mail (Toronto)
The most endearing aspect of D.E.B.S., a sweet-spirited spoof, is that the lesbian romance is played for real, with no nudge-nudge wink-wink irony.

Chicago Reader
This forced spoof seems to be targeted at lesbian couples and hetero men with severe schoolgirl fetishes; that may be a legitimate market, but I'd hate to be sitting between them.

Rolling Stone
You might think there's no downside to a movie that peeks up the skirts of babes in micro-minis, but writer-director Angela Robinson's dimwitted satire is libido-killing proof to the contrary.

Entertainment Weekly
The movie has no wit, no charm, no cleverness, no traction. Simply put, it is no fun.

This is the kind of movie you either love or find really silly. It is a parody of Charlies Angels and a charming love comedy with great humor. D.E.B.S is a secret service. They hire via the SAT which is a standardized test in the USA for college admission. Within there is a hidden system of questions that shows the potential of potential candidates that can or will be recruited. A team of 4 female agents with high scores in the test was formed and trained in the DEBS academy for being spies. The girls have different personalities, goals and worldviews which causes some struggles. The protagonist Amy was also the first and only person who archived a perfect score in the hidden test (She is famous for this). The story starts when the team is assigned to observe and arrest the world famous supercriminal Lucy Diamond who has a meeting with the infamous Russian female assassin Ninotchka Kaprova which could be the beginning of a disastrous plan. What they do not know is that it is actually a blind date that already became awkward. After they try to arrest Lucy things got a bit messy leaving Amy and Lucy alone for a few moments. They share a few friendly words as Amy's senior thesis is about Lucy before Lucy makes her escape. This is the beginning of great and humorous love story as both women feel attracted to each other. Like I already said in the first sentence this is the make or break point. You will either love this heartwarming star crossed lovers tale or find it a silly and cheesy mess. I love this movie even if I can see why others find it silly. Normally I would have not watched it as the title sounded dumb or not interesting but by zapping through the channels I stopped there at the start where they should observe Lucy Diamond. The movie won me over there instantly and I watched it with great enjoyment. The humor works really great and it is a heartwarming love-story. The characters deliver a good performance by genre standard. Sara Foster as Amy Bradshaw made a great performance as she struggles with many things. Lucy Diamond played by Jordana Brewster is a great villainness. She is more the playful trickster like type and not really chaotic evil. The two work so well together in this movie. The rest delivers with Meagan Good as teamleader Max Brewer, Devon Aoki as Dominique and Jill Ritchie as Janet. It is hard for them as a team as they are a bit different characters. For the other side characters I want to praise Jimmi Simpson as Scud who is Lucy's right hand man and best friend and Holland Taylor as Ms. Petrie the leader of D.E.B.S. Overall this movie surprised me and won me over easily. I repeat that you either love or hate it or maybe becomes a guilty pleasure. For me it was entertaining, humorous and a great love story.
