A near-irresistible exercise in bravura absurdity, Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan deserves to become a minor classic of heterosexual camp-at the very least, it's the most risible and riotous backstage movie since "Showgirls."

Not just any kind of trash, it's high-art trash, a kind of "When Tutu Goes Psycho" that so prizes hysteria over sanity that it's worth your life to tell when its characters are hallucinating and when they're not.

The balance between the performance of Natalie Portman and the directing of Darren Aronofsky are enough to get an incredible film. Everything else is gain for our feelings and give us goosebumps during the 108 short minutes.
My perception of the film is the metamorphosis of grow up, how do you transform from childhood to adolescence or even to the maturity, displayed in a visceral and violent metaphor.
Everything in this film is a topic of conversation, but for me, the most remarkable of the film is the immaculate cinematography, is one of the best that I had ever seen.

The cast is great, the effects are powerful, the direction and editing brilliant. A dark miasma lies over this psychological drama and dares you to stop watching. I was not able to turn away, but damn, I wanted to. This is one disturbing, discomfiting viewing experience and I have no plans to ever sit through it again. Uptight perfectionist Nina is on the verge of a breakthrough in her career as she lands the lead in a production of Swan Lake at Lincoln Center, New York City. But strange things keep happening to her. She must confront weird physical problems, the jealousy of her fellow dancers, the sometimes troubling behavior of her charismatic director, and the vicarious attention of her lonely mother. There is little to like here; the characters are nasty and weird and the ballet world is portrayed in a mostly negative way. It reminded me a lot of Polanski's classics "The Tenant" and "Repulsion."

This is the most OVERRATED movie of 2010, it has pretty bad picture, the story was kind of interesting but at the same time it make me think that it was just someone's wet dream brought to the big screen. It has a very bad ending too. Couldn't see the artistic part of the movie. But it may be a good option to watch on a weekend if you couldn't find anything else on the T.V.

I understand what this film tried to do and what direction it took and why. But i couldn't help but feel so bored throughout all this film. It's a love hate thing. Natalie Portman takes up so much of this film, if you don't like her character you won't like this film. Which i didn't.
