After an opening 10 minutes that promises something depressingly mediocre, the film takes a turn to the atmospheric and gruesome, and winds up being one of the year’s more provocative shockers.

The gooey center of the film works for those with a high tolerance for things that might make a majority of the population queasy.

Great little shock horror that seems to be influenced by The Fly and Contracted, some of the acting wasn't great but the lead actress did very well especially later on delivering a rather creepy performance. It is a film to watch if you are a fan of horror movies/B-movies.

This is a taught, body-shock horror that thematically addresses the dangers of vacationing in exotic places when you're having doubts about your imminent marriage and it's resulting pregnancy. It is well paced, the script is fine (acting a little ropey) and the special effects are great. The music is also top notch and the ending delivers well. I find the low critic scores and lack of user scores a bit strange. This is a real under the radar film which could become a cult classic

Chad Archibald doesn't quite land Bite's transition over from claustrophobic character study into full-blown monster movie.

Movie is a little slow to start and first 10 minutes or so is filmed from one of the characters perspective with a video camera but after that it's a regular movie and the pacing is great. The special effects are fantastic as is the main characters acting, the story for the most part is very good and certainly worth a watch for horror fans.
