None of this is as deep as it intends to be, nor will it strike science-fiction devotees as especially novel. But Sackhoff’s Mack is such a vivid, well-rounded character that “2036” still works. It’s like a stage play, crossed with one of the more philosophical old pulp magazine short stories.

A huge fan of Katee Sackhoff, since her time on Battlestar Galactica. Good to see her again in a science fiction movie. Would recommend those who like this type film.

It is funny reading some reviews, for those who like and those who don't. I personally thought it was a good film and would recommended it for those who like Sci-Fi movies

My boyfriend and I came across this while surfing the endless scifi films out there, was put off at first with the massive negativity from some people but gave it a go and thought this was a great little Scifi flick.

Came across this on Netflix, who knows what this movie is really about... just go in with low expectations and you'll be fine.

This movie attempts to explore some interesting ideas. Unfortunately I don't think anyone in this movie has the acting gravitas to make the presentation of these ideas work. Also a factor is that the original author also wrote the screenplay as well as directed it. I think the ideas might have benefited by other viewpoints that balanced and leavened any tendency to take things too far or leave them partially unexplained. It's an ambitious plot, but suffers in the end from a bit too much of an M. Night Shyamalan pretentious twist.

Thank god I could go back and forth with 10 seconds manual on my device to get what on earth was all about, until I completely give up after 5 minutes.
