An outstanding simulation game with a remarkably strong narrative spine. Wylde Flowers is not hugely emotionally impactful, but is good fun – though given its genre, expect a bit of grind.

Players are free to talk to whoever they choose and can complete tasks in just about any order, giving the game an open world feel, despite the relatively small map. Wylde Flowers has a simplicity that allows gamers of all ages to play and has a visual style that would appeal to most. The bright cartoon visuals are akin to a more realistic Dora the Explorer, whilst the diverse characters are equally adorable, each with their own personality. Wylde Flowers starts out as a farming simulation along the lines of Animal Crossing but ends up being more of a life sim that encourages exploration and communication...oh, and witchcraft.

It's not that Wylde Flowers is a wild departure from the genre's norms. But it has thoroughly impressed me – and utterly rejuvenated my wife's interest in virtual chores – in the way it delivers on every standard genre tropes with a high degree of polish, generous design and considerable charm. It's very much one of these games, if you know what I mean. It's just a really good one of these games.

This is a seriously great game. The game play is fun and unique, good artwork, and it's voice acted. I didn't encounter any bugs. A few things I especially liked are: You can change the length of the day at any time. Also, although there aren't any chests, the backpack is unlimited and well organized. And most pleasing of all, the majority of the dialogue with the npc's is very diverse and often changes with the situations. Then, after the main quest is finished the credits roll..... Sit through them! There's almost as much game content and additional quests afterwards as before. I had a lot of fun playing it (180 hours...) and will look forward other games by this dev team.

This is an amazing cozy game. Great story line, lots of different cozy activities and you get to fly on a broom! One of the best games I’ve played in a while. Highly recommend!

What a well-designed game. The character development and storyline can be enjoyable with a replay. The voice actors are excellent. The game mechanics are very well-done.

The developer uses the term “cottagecore” a lot to describe Wylde Flowers, but I feel that reduces it to just being a trend. Wylde Flowers is so much more than that: it’s heartfelt, inclusive, clever, and witchy. It’s the kind of game that makes you feel at home, and the kind of game you want to come home to. It’s a must-play game that I’d recommend to anyone, and that’s darned impressive considering it’s Studio Drydock’s first game (but not surprising if you go to its website and read about the resumes of people behind it).

At its core, Wylde Flowers is much more of a narrative-driven social simulation game than a game about farming and other such activities. The surface-level nature of some of the game's elements could be a problem were it not for the fact that Wylde Flowers absolutely excels at the story it's trying to tell utilizing a brilliant cast of characters. With Wylde Flowers, players get an eclectic game where they can brew potions and cast spells while somehow also enjoying a fairly grounded, small-town life alongside unique characters. While it may not be the most complex title on some fronts, Wylde Flowers succeeds at telling a bewitchingly beautiful story.

As the farming life sim genre continues to flourish, it becomes harder and harder for such games to stand out—but Wylde Flowers manages to do so, and does it brilliantly. Magic puts a clever twist on farming to bring fun new layers to the familiar, and the heartfelt story of acceptance and finding a place to call home to ties everything together beautifully. Wylde Flowers is an utter delight.

In Wylde Flowers, the days clip past at speed, revealing more with every sunrise. For anyone who’s dreamed of moving to the country, starting their own farm, or just having more time in every day, it’s a balm for the soul; a game where you can live out your dreams in a sandbox of colour, mystery, and wholesomeness. One day, you just might end up in the countryside, breathing the smells of overturned soil and manure – but until then, there’s always Wylde Flowers.

Wylde Flowers is what you get when you take a farming/life sim, such as Stardew Valley, and focus more heavily on the narrative and characters. A constant shift of events and huge amounts of voiced lines brings this world to life, even if that focus does mean the simulation aspects of the gameplay are reduced. With a lovingly detailed world and equally lovely examples of diversity, you could do a lot worse than spend your week playing Wylde Flowers.

I can't describe how much I love this game! I was initially put off by the art style, but seeing so many positive reviews made me give it a chance and I'm so glad I did. I love that this game is story-driven. The rich characters and interesting plot make it fun for me to just walk around town talking to people. There's a lot of unique dialogue so they don't repeat themselves endlessly and they all feel distinct from each other. The voice acting brings the characters to life even more. And I absolutely love how diverse the game is, it really feels like something for everyone and more reflective of real life. It's so nice to see myself and people I know reflected in a game. I rarely see that. Additionally, I appreciate the way they took a well-loved genre (farming) and added magic as a new and thoughtful twist. It feels properly incorporated as opposed to just being slapped on to be different. Plus, being able to move the game forward at my own pace and the progressive disclosure of different features makes it so that I don't get bored. The game has a great amount of content too. I've put in 65+ hours and I'm halfway through (I've been taking my time though). I will be so sad when I've finished playing! I've been playing farm sims since the 2000s and Wylde Flowers has set a totally new standard for me. The Studio Dryrock team did an amazing job! I can't wait to see what they come out with next. I would love to see Milkwater in a future game!

I absolutely adored this game! My introduction to it was through TikTok, and I initially played it on my iPhone. I was so captivated by it that I ended up purchasing a Nintendo Switch just to continue the experience. This game became my entry point into gaming as an adult, as it made me feel genuinely represented and allowed me to live out my fantasy of possessing magical powers. The storyline is incredibly profound and emotionally engaging. I've never encountered a game where I could relate so closely to the characters that the main protagonist interacts with.

(its my opinion after 50hours of play time i also got the game for free as an tester and i still have it so the 50 hours came together in several weeks but i wouldnt even recoment the game for free and here are the resons why)The game is not good its realy notfun the missions you get are like go find 20 gold and after you where in the mines for a long time you have to make some potion out of the gold which takes not so long but its boring to go to your basement and it loades 20 seconds just so you can make an potion and go out of your basement and it loades 20 seconds just to get 40 bucks of the currency used in the game. the currency also is an problem because you dont just buy stuff with it you build things to i had real problems at the begining because i didnt figure it out and its just stupid i was often at the point where i thougt i had the money and just the money i needed for something from an shop but the shop is just open on mondays to thursdays and its friday i go to sleep and get the harvest wich comes in on saturday and sunday and i bould an composter which takes money i didnt realise it so i go to the shop on monday and expect that i could buy the item wouldnt be a problem if the shop is opend the next day but some shops have surtaind items on sourtaind days but if i wanted to get the money on the same day i A would have to sell one of my 670 bottles of Vodka (which i realy dont like to do) or B go to the mine farm an ore go to the blacksmieth craft it to ingots and sell those ingots at the black smith. well i often decided to mine for gold and mining takes so long 4 hours in game time to get 100 of the ingame currency ok so its 3:50pm im in a rush make the ore to ingots and want to sell the ingots but you cant sell gold there where you make gold you have to go to the yewlery and sell it there but the yewlerie isnt open on mondays so i have to wait an day anyways there are severall other bad things about the game like magic you have magic but not to conjure in the clasical way no you have to make spell casting roles or potions and you need to have all the materials for it and all your mana for some of the higher spells i dont know why they didnt made an menu for the spells without the need to have those roles where you just could use the mana you have to conjure spells and then maybe have the possybility to make spell roles wich dont use mana if used it would be an much more relaxing way to implement magic in the game and its an cozy game so. I have more then enough other resons to not buy this game especialy not for 25$.
