The rich took off to Mars quite some time ago and now the toxic Earth is ruled by the orphans of the apocalypse. But one of these cubs is extra curious in the ways of humans compared to the others. Raised by the wolves, equipped with a dead astronaut’s helmet with Nostalgia radio and well skilled for parkour traversal of this dead man’s land. Are you brave enough to embark with him on this short yet dark adventure across the dangerous surfaces of our planet, overtaken by the forces of sci-fi nature and ready to face-off any unwanted intruders?

The Cub fits in well with the rest of the games developed by Demagog to showcase the Great Climate Catastrophe story arc. Once again it is a game that carries a deep message, while not failing to entertain as a videogame. The shift in perspective between Golf Club: Nostalgia and The Cub is a fascinating way to present the same story but as two sides of the same coin. The challenge is not trivial, yet not painstaking either, the game being entertaining for newcomers and veterans alike.

The new platformer from demagog studio, creators of Golf Club: Nostalgia, draws from the classics to expand a curious and visually attractive post-apocalyptic universe, although its gameplay can clumsy, frustrating, and repetitive, and its narrative is less ingenious than its predecessor. It still manages to convey nostalgia and sympathy while exploring its beautiful 2D apocalyptic scenarios.

Beautiful graphics, stiff controls, hard challenging, very short game, overall the story and the radio backsound is boring..

Loved the game and the entire universe. Soundtrack and radio is a fantastic feature.

Absolutely love the art style and soundtrack! It only takes roughly three hours to complete. It’s a great game to play from beginning to end on a rainy day.

A beautifully striking 2D platformer, The Cub is a challenging title that is well worth fully exploring. An easy recommendation for fans of platformers past and present.

The Cub is simple and has an excellent story. Despite the limitation, it is committed to keeping the player entertained, contemplative and focused in challenging moments, always surrounded by the illusory peaceful sensation. The unique art style and sound elements inserted into an experimental narrative are reason enough to play the title.

The Cub might not be as responsive as it should be when jumping and climbing, it's still a fun game to play with fantastic audio throughout.

The Cub is a functional platformer, but not a flashy one. Movement can feel stiff at times, but the colorful landscapes and levels will still carry the experience. If you’re a big fan of platformers, you’ll certainly find some enjoyment within the approximately four hour experience, even if it can feel less than ambitious at times.

Swapping clubs for running and swinging, The Cub is an okay platformer that rides the coattails of Golf Club Nostalgia’s wonderful aesthetic, soundtrack and satirical ingenuity. The frustrating controls and basic gameplay mean this fledging doesn’t develop as strongly as its forebear did. But, there’s enough still running through this cub’s DNA to make it part of the pack.

It makes for an experience maybe just half a step above average. You have played many games just like The Cub before, but you've never played one that looks or sounds like it.
