I really enjoyed my time playing TankHead. With a campaign that runs approximately between 10 to 15 hours, give or take the extent to which one chooses to explore all the nooks and crannies the ECA has to offer, Alpha Channel’s first game is a solid roguelike shooter with enough variability and personality to keep players coming back for more. I wouldn’t scoff at the opportunity to return to this universe at some point in the future, but if this is all we see of the Event Containment Area, it was one hell of a ride.
An excellent tank action game set against the stunning backdrop of a strange apocalypse. It strikes a great balance between exploration and combat elements, with the audiovisual presentation deserving special praise. The tank battles would lose a significant chunk of their atmosphere if the shooting and damage effects didn’t sound as good as they do. The main criticism lies in the mechanically weaker boss fights and the underwhelming final part of the game.
In a field of games that typically offer a slight variation on a theme… TankHead stands out as something a bit different. If you like the idea of tank warfare but with perhaps a bit more of a kit-bashing feel… grab a copy.

The video transition scenes are horrible and cannot be skipped. The enemy tanks are incredibly accurate. So in a roguelike type game, prepare to be seeing those scenes over and over. I only was in game about 30 minutes, 15 of those were scenes and transitions, 5 was having myself rebuilt from a pill looking robot to a saucer one, 5 min choosing a mission 5 min just figuring out where to go and less than 3 minutes of actual true game time. PASS. It's like watching a football game, more commercials and commentary than actual playtime.

Interesting concept, less than great execution. I didn't realize it was a rogue-like initially, but even then, thought the gameplay was serviceable. It kind of reminded me of a scavenging, 3D Blaster Master. What sank me on it was the first boss. I had 1 heal and not enough ammo to even finish killing it. What's the point of pitting a level 1 character against a boss that won't have enough ammo to defeat it? Almost forgot to mention the optimization seems quite bad. Other games that I can run high-medium at 60 FPS struggled even with most lighting and textures set to medium and low.

Excellent graphics, large maps, enjoyable fights. What is missing - some description of the weapons and upgrade process. Some annoying details too: after purchasing upgrades and dying - the same upgrades have to be purchased again upon return to base. With the limited funds available - this makes for an annoying feature. When the first mission is completed, dying during the second mission and selecting the third option - this wipes out the first mission achievement and that mission needs to be repeated. Kind of annoying again (the objective of finishing all 3 missions in one go). This can be a really good game - it is reasonably difficult but not overly so, needs some polishing around the edges and some more info regarding the game mechanics. Devs - please listen, otherwise this game may die a premature death...

TankHead is, overall, an enjoyable and interesting take on tank gameplay and on roguelike ideas. It looks fantastic, the story is compelling, and the world it's set in is very cool. I like it, but I don't love it. A bit more variety would have been nice, but in the end, it's going to be exactly what some players are looking for, and that's gonna be great for them.

A combat roguelike where you can piece together your battle tank should have been an instant hit. The combat is difficult but mostly fair, With the challenge of taking out tanks but leaving enough parts to repair and/or upgrade your own gear is a cool concept. But the problem is just when you get going in terms of story and figuring out the gameplay it just ends. $30 for 3 levels and a very abrupt anticlimactic ending. I really hope the devs were planning on expanding the game content over time, but right now it's more of a paid demo than a full game.

Weird no reviews on utube ??? Only worth 5 dollar or avoid it all cost. - 5 hours long. -very very repetitive tank roguelite tech demo game, very repetitive samy level design, very repetitive annoying chores collection items lool go find tire take put on tank return take weapon return to tank put it's every item u doing that to make very short game longer, annoying terrains, no v-sync, no foliage graphic setting, voices not fitting to robot characters, only 3 missions over over and over and got bored so fast. -only good graphic and u play a tank. That's why only epic games.

SummaryDragAMouse is a game intended for toddlers and very young children. The game does not require complex strategy and logic like many of the other "kids" games. It is a very simple concept designed only to entertain and occupy the little ones. The objective is simply to drag the mouse to the cheese. While playing the game the stat... Read More
