Although the control is slightly irritating and the lack of modes disappointing, this game is just pure fun on snow.
Imaginative tracks, cool tricks, a real sense of speed, and loads of unlockable stuff all add up to a racing experience that is not to be missed.

This was my first ps2 game as a kid, such a great game that I still love. Back when EA was great.

PlayStation 2 The snow effects in Sled Storm are also very impressive and it’s hard not to be sucked into the ‘I can do it this time’ gameplay when you’re trying to unlock the numerous machines and extra levels.
The courses were original and I liked all the shortcuts the game contained, but the auto catch up feature and seemingly "perfect" AI really started to give me some heartburn.
Overall the production value on this game is solid, but since the gameplay is neither groundbreaking nor terribly engaging – the game just falls right in the middle of the pack. [Apr 2002, p.75]
Lots of SS's gameplay mechanics don't really work; it gets too fast and chaotic at times, leaving you disoriented, out of control, and bouncing off objects like a pinball. [May 2002, p.109]
Playing Sled Storm is a lot like going to a rave - a lot of bombast, hype and crazy visual chemical hoopla...but once the effect wears off, there's little left of substance or interest to anyone older than 15.

Let me get this straight, the game wasn't aged well and if you are a seeker for different type of games like me or just would like to see what it was - leave it be. Not only because it looks boring, the one good thing about it, I guess, it's tricks, but we saw this type of stuff already in some better games like Pure, Nail'd and whatnot with better handling and more favorable than Sledstorm on PS2. I feel like even PS1 version plays better today.
Fair number for this now is 55/100.
I just wanted the rating to go down a lil bit, because the title is not worthy anymore. Cheers!
