Overall I think Reigns:The Witcher combines the two franchises extremely well. Having minimal experience with Reigns before, this title makes me want to re-visit their other titles, and a must try for fans of either. The characters, the world and the music fit the gameplay and the humour perfectly. Strong recommend, especially on handheld devices such as the switch or mobile phones.

Minimalist and faithful, the title adapts The Witcher’s moral choices to the Reigns system with addictive gameplay, a flawless soundtrack, and creative yet questionable combat.

Reigns: The Witcher does pretty much exactly what it sets out to do. It's a fun and humorous time that represents aspects of the world of The Witcher well. While it could do better in some respects, there's a lot to enjoy here. If you're a fan of The Witcher, it's a great way to have a new experience in the world, and if you aren't a fan, then it's still a good time with some very dark and silly moments mixed in. Reigns: The Witcher is a great take on the world of The Witcher and is an enjoyable, new way to experience it.

It’s a nice way to revisit the universe for anyone who has played at least one of the titles in the franchise and wants to experience it in a new way. But those unfamiliar with this fantasy world should stay away. It’s easy to understand the mechanics and quickly play a few sessions, pushing to meet one of the goals and trying to find new ways for the hero to die. The game is best enjoyed in short bursts. Stop when the action becomes repetitive or if the same death pops up twice. Reigns: The Witcher would have been better if it tweaked the series’ core mechanic a little to give players more control. It's still fun to see what tales Dandelion will spin.
