Pixelot is a game that does a lot with very little. It’s well put together, challenging, and a welcome entry in a classic genre. While it can come across as a simple game on the surface, there is plenty of substance underneath its pixelated exterior and it’s definitely worth taking a look to see all the passion that clearly went into this game.

Pixelot is very good indie turn based RPG with pixel art esthetics that manages to entertain and engage the player for the most part. The pixel art, the music and the multiple RPG mechanics come together in a beautiful, compelling, and fun way giving the player an experience that oozes personality. However, the generic aspects of the setting and story, the lack of character development, the lack of significant story moments and the excessive number of fights that the game puts you through affect the overall experience of the game. That being said, Pixelot is a love letter to classic RPGS and it’s a game that is worth checking out. For this reason, I recommend Pixelot. Link to my non-spoiler review: ****/V9L4I-WoWxg
