Gylt is a mechanically simple game with some awesome horror atmosphere. The atmospheric music, thr mesh of cartoon/realistic visuals and school/town setting really sets this game apart from other horror games giving it a unique feel. Despite the game suffering from uninteresting boss fights, it still manages to stand out above the rest. I am thankful that this game was not lost in the sinking ship of google stadia. In conclusion, forgive me father is what I would consider a masterpiece ****. Its cheesy voice acting for the protagonists, small letter for the documents and the difficulty of keeping track of enemies around you are almost nitpicks in what is otherwise an exceptional and outstanding game. The games dark horror Lovecraftian inspired esthetics, setting and story, superb level design, dynamic rock soundtrack, comic book visuals and fast paced intense gameplay all come together to form something truly special. The whole is more than the sum of its parts is an expression that truly encapsulated my appreciation of this game. All of the components of this game are so well interwoven together that they form what is truly a masterpiece ****. Janitor bleeds only mayor flaw is its unstable frame rate that hinders the players experience. Beyond that, Janitor bleeds intricate story, visuals, music and sound design create a mystery horror experience that is expertly executed and that offers horror fans a solid experience that they should not miss out on. c. Inukari chase of deception sets out to give the player a different type of platforming experience. The game presents an interesting world and characters the serve as the backdrop of a fast and fun platforming experience with lots of verticality and platforming challenges with some nice change of pacing offered mainly by the bosses that are scattered throughout the different worlds. Unstable framerate, some unnecessary precision platforming segments and some unbalanced bosses’ fights hinder what is otherwise a sound platforming game. Where Inukari truly showcases what it sets out to offer is in its final world where the gameplay, visuals and music come together closing off the game with a high note. ITORAH is a strong entry in the list of games that have come out in the first few months of this year. Despite the game keeping the metroidvania elements to a minimum and the being too easy, it still manages to wow with its presentation and the rest of its elements. It offers stunning visuals, incredible music and some very fun and responsive gameplay. The world and characters of ITORAH are vibrant, colorful, interesting and it makes you want to spend more time in it. ITORAHs visuals, music and gameplay interweave in a wonderful harmony that creates an experience that is more than the sum of its parts. ITORAH is one the must play videogames of this year. Despite having on paper, a more intriguing premise and setting that the las two games, Red colony 3 fails to take advantage of that. The begging parts of the story dilutes itself to a cheesy soap opera with a slow and boring dialogue. As you progress through the game the story becomes more interesting but ends up being dragged down by the first half of the game. The characters of this game are not as varied and interesting as in red colony 2 and the setting feels like areas of previous games and lack, and the level design lacks the interconnectedness and openness that red colony 2 offered. However where RC3 shines is in the array of new gameplay mechanics, accompanied by more polished and good looking character models and enemy variety that make the game a much more solid and entertaining experience. It is these elements that make the game as good as previous entries despite it not being able to surpass Red Colony 2 in the level design, setting and characters. Beholgar is a solid entry to the plethora of indie metroidvania games that are out there. Balancing issues regarding the difficulty and the lack of a map for the interior of the stages take away from the gameplay experience. However, with its classic 2d look, its dark fantasy setting, its retro music, challenging platforming, and battles make it a good metroidvania to sink your time into. The game manages to offer a short, complete, challenging and rewarding experience that any metroidvania lover should check out. Cogen sword of rewind offers a fun twist to a familiar gameplay genre giving it a fresh and engaging feel. This twist becomes the games defining feature and strongpoint. The game challenges the players skills, reaction, and mental capacity with difficulty battle scenarios. However, the difficulty spike later in the game hits hard and requires a lot a practice to master the necessary skills to finish the game. The game suffers from a boring story exposition and characters that follow anime tropes and feel generic at times. The gameplay, challenge, and good-looking visuals end up being the games main attraction to entice player to pick this game and stay with till the end credits. I recommend Cogen sword of rewind but with much caution. Go into this game aware that you will die a lot and the game is very difficult specially towards the end. Pixelot is very good indie turn based RPG with pixel art esthetics that manages to entertain and engage the player for the most part. The pixel art, the music and the multiple RPG mechanics come together in a beautiful, compelling, and fun way giving the player an experience that oozes personality. However, the generic aspects of the setting and story, the lack of character development, the lack of significant story moments and the excessive number of fights that the game puts you through affect the overall experience of the game. Insomnis knows exactly the type of horror experience it wants to deliver and does so in a fantastic way. The game delivers a condensed well-crafted horror experience that is intriguing and creepy from beginning to end and doesn’t overstay its welcome. The puzzles are entertaining to solve even though there may be moments where the lack of a hint system may hinder the gameplay experience. Some solid visual, creepy music and sound design and a mysterious story all come together for a memorable experience that horror fans should play. Despite focusing too much on chasing sequences, Araignees manages to deliver a horror experience that will make your skin crawl. Despite of having a balancing issue in regard to the difficulty, Impious pumpkins still manages to offer the player a cute, simple but challenging real time tactical game experience with horror themed esthetics. 4 Alice Magical Autistic Girls is a visual novel that accomplishes what it sets out to do: tell an interesting, fantastical and magical story while allowing the player to see and understand the world through the eyes of a teenage girl with autism. By doing this game manages to create awareness of autism educating the player through the gameplay experience while still entertaining. Conway Disappearance at Dahlia View is a well-crafted adventure mystery, thriller investigation game that allows the player to feel like and investigator with the synergy of its different gameplay mechanics while interweaving these same mechanics with a story full of intrigue that keeps you engaged and immersed from beginning to end. Despite some of its flaws with controls and the final sections of the story, the game still manages to deliver a solid experience that anyone who loves this genre of games will enjoy. Incredible game. Very unique fairytale inspired hand drawn art style that makes the game look beautiful. Awesome lighting, particle effects and details in every stage makes the game look very impressive. Very entertaining story narrated by the voice actor of Geralt of the WItcher games which makes the narration very pleasant and entertaining. Incredible OST. Gameplay is souls like, its challenging but not excessively hard its well balanced. The only problems of the game where the pacing of the story and the back tracking inside the huge stages. Really recommend this game. Its an incredibly memorable experience and its incredibly fun to play. Its one the best games I played in this entire year.

Red Colony 2 is a side scroller survival horror game. It has basic combat, puzzles, resource management, music and sound design. However the game features hand drawn anime style sprites that look pretty good and some awesome Japanese voice acting. The games story is weird but charming and interesting in its own way. You play as a sex worker trapped in a space station infected with zombies and dinosaurs that trying to kill everybody. Your are trying to find your daughter and along the way you meet a lot of your co-workers and clients from the sex worker life. The story is whacky, funny but at the same time it manages to conserve some of its horror aspects. Despite this not being the most polished game, it is sure an entertaining time to play through. If you like survival horror games and anime this is a game that will entertain you and that will get you to laugh a few times in middle of the horror that you are going to see. Mundaun has very intriguing and interesting story and setting with some very weird and mysterious cast of characters that makes this a memorable experience. The game features a pencil drawn art style and monochromatic color scheme. The visuals really make this game stand out from other gams. The game features some awesome music that really add to the creepy ambiance its going for. Reagrding the gamplay this game is a first person horror game where you need to explore big open areas to find key items to explore the game. The fighs agains enemies are very clunky because the wants you to mostly evade and hide from enemies. The best part of this game is its story, setting, unique art style and the type of horror it goes for. This barely has any jumpscares. Instead it goes for the tyoe of horror that makes you feel unconfterble and makes you feel like there is something wrong with this place. The game doesnt hold you hand in what regards to gameplay. You have a notebook with objectives, clues and maps, but you have to figure things out with those tools. The game wont give you markers to tell you excatly where you need to go. As part of the negatives of this game I would have to say 1. framerate on the ps4 version is unstable. Its doesnt take away from the experience but it is noticible. 2. The pacing of the story is slow. 3. The art style despite being interesting can get visually tiresome after a few hours of gameplay. 4. There may be moments of the game were you may find yourself wasting time trying to figure out what to do because sometimes its not very clear. 5.
