In short, Monopoly (2024) is hardly an essential buy for those who already own other Monopoly videogames. In a vacuum, however, it does most everything right to be a solid digital recreation of this iconic, friendship-breaking board game.
Monopoly is Monopoly - but it’s probably the best version of virtual Monopoly to date; the version you will want to play going forward. Full of customisation and personalisation. And with the inclusion of both local and online play, you won’t need to huddle around a board to do so.
How is it possible to mess a damn Monopoly game up. How is it possibly that the same game breaking bugs and rule fallacies that the previous game released with, which took a lot of bugfixing, are now present in a new release. Ubisoft, that how! This game is the perfect represantation of all the issues existing in Ubisoft. Creative bankruptcy, half backed developement and the same damn game repackaged selled at an overcharged price. The only thing lower than my expactations for Ubisoft is their stock price, which hopefully bankrupts them soon too! Normally i would give a more detailed list of issues, with further described points, but whats the point, i would than put more effort into making this review than Ubisoft did developing this "game".
