Madden NFL 26 is the most solid entry in the franchise in years, delivering a TV-style presentation, more authentic gameplay, and a Franchise Mode that finally feels meaningful. The new QB DNA system and season-long player wear and tear add realism, while blocking and defense mechanics show clear improvements. However, old issues remain: sluggish menus, persistent bugs, inconsistent AI, and aggressive monetization in Ultimate Team. Lack of localization and unstable servers continue to hurt the experience, especially for Brazilian players.

All that said, the biggest compliment I can give EA Sports Madden NFL 26is that I look forward to playing it again. That wasn't always the case. But for all its shortcomings, I still like seeing my created player running around on the screen as part of a beautiful and immersive on-field presentation. I enjoy the football being played. I like having the sense of control over the fate of my team, and I like all of the options Franchise Mode presents for me to exercise that control. I enjoy Madden again, and that's a start.

After years of ups and downs, Madden NFL 26 seems to be on the right track. The improvements are noticeable, both in the visuals, gameplay, and presentation. It's finally a next-gen release, and the best part is that it has a homegrown competition that, in theory, should drive development to improve and meet fan demands. It will undoubtedly be a good season for football fans.

This is a massive upgrade from 25. I find it to be one of the best recent madden games out. EA is still money hungry though, sadly.

Cpu clock management is still beyond idiotic. Cannot Sim franchise. Superstar mode is broken on so many levels, its not worth noting every single issue to write a 3 page rant.

I truly think this is best madden ever created and I've always been a harsh critic. I'm still passed they require you to be online for superstar and that they don't have it be more immersive like customizing a house or doing more interviews or things with social media. But the gameplay is by far the most realistic it has ever been!

Madden 26 is the best Madden title in decades, a gorgeous game with stellar physics and powered by awesome AI playcalling. Forget the previous two years and jump on this one yesterday.

Surprisingly, Madden NFL 26 finally delivers (albeit partially) on its promises of truly delivering significant improvements over its predecessors, whether in terms of more dynamic gameplay; a visual presentation that better explores what's already established; and the dynamics within its main modes. Despite some technical issues and controversial concepts, it's the best the franchise has offered in a long time.

Madden NFL 26 is a good game to add to the library for the avid football fan or for someone like myself who has been away from the series for a few years. This installment is also a good entry point for someone looking to get into a football game for the first time or maybe just wanting to get into the game of football as a whole. As a fan of the series and the sport, I would recommend picking the game up and having some fun.

Every mode, except Ultimate Team, has been enhanced with more engaging systems and streamlined features. The presentation feels livelier and more dynamic, with a welcome dose of college football DNA. Unfortunately, sluggish load times and a few poor interface choices continue to plague the yearly series.

Madden 26's presentation and franchise improvements are authentic, fantastic, and worth a sustained play. It's still narrowly edged out by the fun and flair of College Football 26, but the gap between these sibling games is closing, inch by inch.

There is enough depth to Madden 26 that makes it an experience worth the update. It still is not as strong as the CFB franchise, but it is making strides in the right direction.

Despite a disappointing launch, Madden NFL 26 isn’t unsalvageable. I would imagine many of these problems will be fixed through post-launch patches, but that doesn’t change the fact that despite how strong its fundamentals appeared to be prior to stepping onto the field, much like a nervous rookie, this entry just wasn’t quite ready for primetime.

I’m giving Madden a 10 here to help offset the review bombing, but in reality, it’s a strong 8 to 8.5 out of 10. Gameplay feels smoother than last year, player animations are sharper, and the graphics this year are nothing short of incredible. Franchise mode got some solid additions that make team building and long-term play more engaging, and overall the game just feels more polished. Sure, there are a few minor bugs and some areas that could use more attention, but if you’re a fan of the series, this is one of the better Madden entries in years.

While it certainly has its share of bugs, the improved movement makes a huge difference in enjoyability of the game, Franchise mode is the best it has been in several years, but overall, there aren't that many new or even improved features from the previous title, as well as the pricing can be extremely cheap and generally not worth it. The game is rather enjoyable if you just stick to franchise mode. The new career playthrough (superstar features) may take some time to adjust to especially with the leveling system and how you upgrade your player character could be considered a downgrade from previous titles, though a few other long demanded mechanics like extreme weather do add a nice touch.

Very disappointed that my favorite part of Madden was the owner mode in franchise was removed. You are stuck as a coach, with Coach overview shoved in your face after every game. The funniest part is you can still relocate/rebuild stadium, isn’t that an owners job (guess try and appease). Well Im really wishing I didn’t waste my money on this game. I’ll be playing 25 until EA Sports figures out what made Madden great not what they want.

I have 100 hours in this game and I made an account just to rate this game, that’s how bad Madden 26 is. It feels slow, unresponsive, and constantly hijacked by broken animations, like the game is fighting you every snap. It’s 2026 and somehow this still looks and plays like a slightly worse version of Madden from years ago. It's laughable: defenders teleport, quarterbacks turn into gods, and blocking randomly collapses for no reason. Franchise mode is once again barebones and buggy. Menus lag, features feel half-finished, and basic polish is missing everywhere. EA has exclusive NFL rights and it shows. No urgency, no pride, just another lazy release. This isn’t a $70 game, it’s an embarrassment.

I miss NFL Blitz so much man. **** could come along one day which blends the quick and dirty gameplay of Blitz with the vast options and season simulation of Madden, it would be genuinely perfect. Unfortunately, what we have at the moment is a game that’s just too slow and weirdly technical on the gameplay side, and way too menu heavy on the option side. Not to mention it REALLY wants me to make an EA account even though I just want to play a season as the Lions and eventually trade for Joe Burrow. This game is mindless fun, not much else. It runs pretty badly on Switch 2 to boot. I miss NFL Blitz so much man…
SummaryDominate the league in EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 26. Years of NFL game data powers next-level coaching, QB authenticity, and explosive gameplay. Every game is a new challenge.
