Fun game and well executed on console, but lacks that little bit of refinement to take it to the next level. Halo Wars has a short but sweet campaign, and building up your base and upgrading your units each mission is an addictive little loop. It lacks that little bit of refinement where you actually need "strategy" though, because every mission can be completed with the same army-building formula and then just rolling through the map clicking on 'x' to kill all the enemies. Each mission I just built a mass of scorpion tanks and a few anti-air trucks, fully upgrade them, then stream roll across the map. I think the normal difficulty is waaaaay too easy. I think I failed one mission in the entire campaign. The sign **** strategy game is needing to refine your tactics each mission depending on the situation. This one you just win with the same strategy every time. Again, it was a fun experience while it lasted, but was just missing that little extra something to make it truly special.

The graphics look crisper even though they aren’t a substantial upgrade over the original. The controls have seen the biggest improvement and it plays even better on Xbox One. While I wish the gameplay was more complex, the title is still a solid entry in the real-time strategy genre.

It's a great game. I highly recommend it. It has a lot of action, its mechanics are very good, the story line is very solid and of course the master chief is great.

To this day Halo Wars remains the most accessible RTS game to have ever been released on a console, and while it may lack the depth of some of its PC brethren, as an introduction to the genre it is still at the top of its class.

A faint attempt to bring this strategy saga to Xbox One and PC users before the release of Halo Wars 2. It’s quite limited on strategic options (especially on PC), but it’s still quite amusing and makes the time fly. In addition, it’s a fantastic way to remember a mythic studio as Ensemble.

Não funciona muito bem no controle, confuso, e pouco interessante, isso não quer dizer que é um jogo ruim, porque se você é um dos seguintes: um grande fã de Halo; alguém que precisa aprender a jogar um RTS; ou você tem menos de 10 anos de idade, então será um ótimo jogo para jogar, tenho certeza. coloque-o ao lado de alguns dos outros títulos da RTS, e ele simplesmente não tem profundidade.
