The original Guilty Gear gets a Nintendo Switch release more than twenty years after its debut in what is essentially a nostalgic release that does not attempt to change history. The frantic, action-packed combats and amazing soundtrack are still intact, but the other components of the game are visibly dated and aren't making an effort to keep up with more recent fighting games.
Guilty Gear is a good fighting game easy to play but tremendously challenging. Despite its shortcomings as a scant roster, few game modes and short duration, it can be very fun for the most hardcore players, either alone or in company.

Guilty Gear is a very bare bone, yet ambitious fighting game. While the franchise is well known for its affinity for rock music, you can tell that the first outing was very toned down comparatively. The game just screams a company trying to figure out what they want to do with their franchise, and a lot of character and sound design reflect this. While it is jarring to look at the characters now compared to their later counterparts, nonetheless it is fun to see how they came to be. While I wouldn't recommend this to most people, fans may get a kick at looking at this older entry, and it certainly holds up better than most of its competitions first entries.

The original Guilty Gear is... fine, it's fine. GG shows a commendable amount of passion however due to it being a first in a series and the hardware limitations, it falls short. While the music is good, the rest of the sound effects are compressed to hell and back for the ost, the sprites are good looking while stationary, but start looking very off when in motion and the gameplay is fine, but now that it's on the Switch, with what is ostensibly the best fighting game ever made; Guilty Gear XX, the cracks show and it becomes very unattractive Guilty Gear has a lot of charm and a lot of heart, while it's not a game I ever go back to, it is one I respect a lot and it warms my cold black heart knowing Daisuke and his team made something of this dinky little ps1 game.

buen juego de peleas, para recordar viejos tiempos, fáciles de controlar pero duro de pasar, debe estar en la colección de cualquier fan de la saga

SummaryFirst released in 1998, the legendary 2D fighting game Guilty Gear is back. In 2010, mankind had succeeded in his dream of developing a natural, limitless energy supply. It was the dawning of the Age of Magic. With this new power, science and industry, the tools of war, were outlawed. However, man still waged battle on one another, and ... Read More
