I played it and didn't like it it's very bad in many ways and didn't reach the level of the Silent Hill and Resident Evil remakes.

Fatal Frame II was, and is, an all time classic. While this certainly doesn’t “replace” the original masterpiece, it certainly is a tip of the line modern re-imagining. The fact that this is the second time the title has been remade makes it an interesting entry, and while the original PS2/Xbox version will always be a classic, the PS5/XSX version is a perfect modern entry point for new fans, and an absolute gem for long time fans.

This game didn't live up to the original version I didn't like it and didn't enjoy it because of the camera.

A atmosfera, a direção artística e a narrativa continuam extremamente fortes até hoje, e o jogo ainda demonstra por que é considerado um clássico dentro do gênero. Justamente por isso é tão frustrante ver um relançamento desse nível chegar sem legendas em português. Para um jogo profundamente focado em narrativa e diálogos, ignorar a localização para um dos maiores mercados de games do mundo parece uma decisão difícil de justificar. O mais estranho é que outras empresas japonesas já provaram há anos que isso não é um problema técnico nem algo inviável, mesmo em relançamentos de jogos antigos. A própria Square Enix lançou a coleção Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster com suporte ao português, e a Atlus também lançou Persona 3 Reload com localização em português. Esses exemplos deixam claro que incluir português em remasters e remakes de jogos clássicos é perfeitamente possível. Por isso, ver um título tão importante chegar sem esse suporte passa a impressão de que o público brasileiro simplesmente não foi considerado na decisão. O jogo continua sendo um clássico, mas escolhas como essa fazem o relançamento parecer desatualizado para o mercado atual e muito menos acessível do que deveria ser.

I didn't like the game it didn't reach the level of the original and had many problems

This game is perhaps the second most scariest game I have ever played. This game rivals Dead Space in terms of pure horror and makes Resident Evil look like kids games. They fixed and improved all the issues from the previous games and takes a lot of inspiration from Dead Space plus Resident Evil 4 whiile maintaining its identity from the past. I highyl recommend trying this out if your looking for horror.

Siempre fue nostalgia regresar a los juegos de fatal frame recuerdo cuando jugué el primero y el segundo esas noches sin poder dormir pero con este remake quizá les faltó porque ya no se siente el mismo terror y algunos controles y fantasmas son raros a comparación pero lo disfrute cada momento

As a long time fan of the series I was excited to see this classic remade. The game looks amazing and gives the spine chills that the Fatal Frame series is known for and at first the ghosts were a bit tanky but after the update they have become very manageable and allow for fights to add to the fun hoping they Remake the first game next. Team Ninja has done a fantastic job bringing this classic game to a modern audience.

Game is pretty good, sound design, the combat seems more intricate than ff4remaster or ff5remaster. Visual is really more crisp and detailed. My issues with it stems from the fact that there is no 60fps or performance mode for the ps5. If there is an update in the future i will probably bring the score up a notch.

The PS5 Pro version is locked to 4K 30fps, labeled as “enhanced for Pro” — what a joke. Frame drops are constant and painfully obvious, sinking as low as 20–24 fps. It’s like playing a 2016 game on PS4, except this is supposed to be the latest flagship console. I’m convinced even a PS4 Pro could run these last-gen visuals at smooth 4K 30fps better than this.

A remake that had content cut out and censored, also it's 2026 and the game is like as if it was made in 2020. Real money waste dump

Remake? More like mistake, I have fond memories of the PS2 game but this stinks. It's not scary, in fact it's pretty corny, and it doesn't play well at all. A major disappointment.

This remake is everything I could have hoped for and more. The visuals are absolutely stunning, with detailed environments that make every location feel alive and immersive. The combat system is both fluid and intense, offering a satisfying mix of strategic encounters and heart-pounding action. It remains faithful to the original source material, preserving the iconic moments and atmosphere that fans love, while also introducing thoughtful new additions that enhance the overall experience without feeling out of place. From the improved sound design to the modernized controls, every element contributes to a fresh yet nostalgic survival horror adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who appreciates the genre or wants to experience a masterclass in remakes.

A faithful retelling of one of the greatest horror games ever made. Visuals are terrific as is the tone and atmosphere. Extra added content is a bonus. Enjoy!!

É uma remake fantástico, melhoraram muito a Jogabilidade, acrescentaram novas áreas ao jogo, gráficos bonitos, mas pecaram em deixar em 30fps nos consoles,embora eu tenha a impressão de ser uns 40fps, esperoq atualizem isso, quem nunca jogou fatal frame, eu recomendo começar por esse Remake

It has camera and combat issues and there are some other problems. It also lacks essential content. The remake wasn't strong and I didn't like the game.

A solid enhancement of a +20y old game with renewed mechanics and movement. Thankfully they kept the style and difficulty intact. Amazing atmosphere and a lot of nostalgia. Not sure if new players are going to like this type of structure, to me is a pearl for art and entertainment. A performance patch on console would be appreciated.

Great for someone like me who's not greedy, i don't care about these modern "must" filters like 60fps and these kinda things to make a game good, it's great if u just be thankful, graceful and drop the toxicity of this me generation gamers

This is one gorgeous looking game, wait till you get radiant filter for the camera. Updated to best combat in the entire series, a lot more stuff added that are nice additions too making it for a longer game than original. ps5 generation will be known for amazing ps2 remakes lol

Faithful remake with some combat changes that are alittle rough getting used too.

i loved the OG PS2 Fatal Frame 2, and this one is a great remake offering new content that wasn't in the Original, and it captures the original pretty well, while the lost of Fixed Camera angles did leave some tension a bit, the game is still creepy, i just wish the game has a 60 FPS performance mode to enjoy this game even further

It's a peivilege to revisit the lost village in such wonderful way. The gameplay runs beautifuly and runs very well. Excited to play again this terrifiying story.

It's very faithful to the original game but also add some new areas and side quests, which extend the lore even more. If you are a fan of the Fatal Frame games, this game is very good and worth it. Even if you don't know the Fatal Frame serie but like japanese horror and/or survival horror games, I will still recommend it. I didn't give a perfect review because I play on the PS5 and have some FPS drops, but nothing too serious, the game could be optimized a little bit more.

Must have for horror fans and fans of the series ! The combat can be challenging but over all the game is very solid! Hopefully we get a remake of Fatal Frame 3 The tormented!

As a fan of the series, this is everything I've ever asked for. The visuals and some of the newly added features are really good. I'm absolutely happy with how it turned out, now hopefully it does well enough to give us rest of the games from the series. Specially FF3!!

The best version of a survival horror classic. I've been thoroughly enjoying this - easily feels like the best Fatal Frame game you can play without a PS2 emulator. Feels like the best way for new people to get into the franchise. Early reviews were justifiably negative for film grain and crazy balance in the early game, but those issues have both been fixed with extremely quick patches from the devs. Game feels great to play now, imo. Thoroughly recommend checking it out if you enjoy horror. There's nothing quite like these games
