ECHO is the worst game imaginable if you have a problem with delayed gratification. If, however, you’re in the market for a game where a little bit of patience goes a long way, it’s well worth your time.

Echo is a fun and enjoyable game defined by a well-executed gimmick. Without the adapting Echoes, it would be a standard stealth shooter. With the Echoes, it becomes distinctive and interesting. The adapting AI is as much a proof of concept as a fun gameplay mechanic, but it works very well at being both. Echo shows that modern stealth games have a whole lot of room to grow and evolve. For fans of the genre, it's well worth playing, assuming you can get past the slow start and occasional technical hiccups.

Echo's biggest problem is that the initial buzz of its concept gets fainter the longer it lasts. [Christmas 2017, p.83]

One of the best game I have ever played. But its not for the FPS-generasion. Voice acting and sound design are amazing. If you pay attention to details, the universe and story is massive and complex. I recommend checking out StallordD on YT for lore. Once I started collecting echievements, the game got even more intense. Predicting AIs movement, your actions interference, limited stamina and bullets, makes for some thrilling situasions. Its ultra hard to do platinum, but its so rewarding because of atmosohere and investments.

Pretty underrated stealth game with gorgeous aesthetics, an interesting story and innovative game mechanics.

Interesting mechanic, but not much else. Becomes a chore rather quickly. The tone and ambience of the game are interesting. Since it's short, it was enough to get me going until the end, but the game mechanics were really dragging me down.

Backed by gorgeous production values and, critically, voice acting that's able to carry the nuance this script demands, Echo is distinctive, characteristic and artful. It’s not a stretch to say it’s probably the smartest shooter that I’ve ever played, and it’s exactly the kind of thing that I’ve been waiting for from the genre.

Echo is one of the greatest games I have ever played. I have read through the other reviews, and I do not share a single complaint the others have. My personal experience has been close to flawless, the enjoyment I got out of this title alone is just unreal. I bought it while it was on sale in the PS4 store (it is right now if you are reading this in February 2018!), and I can say that to me it has been worth every penny. I realize how biased this sounds but I cannot say a single bad things about this game, I love everything about it. The voice acting, the graphics, the level design and the gameplay are all fantastic, I also recommend watching the Echo Gameplay Trailer if you are still undecided because many people seem to miss that one. I personally think the gameplay trailer could have shown even more things and presented the game even better than it has, but I can safely say that there is not a single thing in it that you are not getting in the game. I 100% recommend buying this title, it's a 10/10 experience to me.

Echo offers something that I don't think anything else has done. It's creepy and imaginative and despite some flaws that come with the limited budget, it offers a lot of engaging, memorable and unique moments.

ECHO is a puzzle game disguised as a third-person action-adventure game. The puzzle is everything and the action-adventure is exploring the lavish environments of the Palace. Backed by an exceptional story of intrigue, love and general weirdness, ECHO knows how to make the player think in more ways than one. Mirror enemies are nothing new for video games, usually reserved for boss battles or mini-bosses, but what happens when every enemy is the player? That’s where ECHO steps in, showing that the biggest challenge in life is ourselves.

ECHO is a game with a compelling central idea, a top notch sci-fi plot and some excellent stealth mechanics. It also demands you understand its rules and play it at the pace it dictates. If you can either get on with, or get past, the plot you’ll experience some fantastic gameplay moments.

ECHO’s lacklustre story, slow pace and restrictive character control mildly detract from what is otherwise one of the most refreshing stealth titles to come along in a good while. Make no mistake; fans of the genre will find much to like in ECHO.

Echo is a beautiful, challenging stealth game with an array of fresh, new and impressive gameplay mechanics. Stunning visuals, and voice acting by Rose Leslie and Nick Boulton. Interesting level design for stealth gameplay. However the AI's ability to learn from my play-style did not force me to change my tactics as I had hoped. Instead the AI simply mimicked my actions rather than develop counter tactics. Otherwise its an interesting stealth game. I was drawn into the lore of the universe and En's story but the game did not reveal the details of the narrative I had hoped for. I did enjoy my playthrough and appreciate Echo for it's unique aesthetic and fresh approach to the genre. I had a lot of fun with game mechanics that I've never experienced in any other game before it. Unfortunately Echo offers very little replay value.
