Captain Tsubasa: Tatakae Dream Team8
Mar 3, 2019
After 1 year of playing the game I thought it would be good to give my point of view. First of all I am a fan of the series, yet I will try my opinion to be neutral. The game itself is very similar to early captain tsubasa games of NES and SNES. The field is seen with the faces of the players and when characters touch they engage in a match, where each one chooses their tactics. Animation are quite well done, although not as beautiful as other games such as Grand Chase or Epic Seven. Maybe with Luna engine the developers would do something close to playing anime. There aer some key differences such as the way you get players is through Banners (roulette). Now, the pros and cons, from my perspective. Pros: 1. Beautiful animation. 2. Active community. Federations let you meet new friends. 3. Engaging PvP/ 4. Active developer. 5. Interesting new PvP content such as Federation Battles. 6. Fairly good customer service when you write to them. 7. New player friendly. Cons. 1. Gacha game (I consider negative the use of casino elements in a game) 2. To be competitive you need either amazing luck or to invest quite a bit of money. 3. Lots of cheaters: People using Mods, not only in PvE but also in PvP. Developers should be more active banning people. 4. Farming is not interesting at all. 5. PvE is really bad, except for the cut scenes related to the manga. 6. History of Lack of Quality control potentially leaves lots of bugs in the game. 7. Expensive currency to get new players (Some people say it is OK comparing it with the industry average. 8. Strange development decisions such as leaving certain items to be exploited by cheaters (SSR balls) or including weather conditions (In such incomplete way). To be honest the reasons I keep playing the game are my friends within the federation and the amazing community around the series. I must confess the game itself is quite addictive and a time sink, not to mention sometimes quite frustrating. If you decide to play it, do it responsibly.

The Age of Decadence9
Feb 10, 2018
This game is one of those hidden gems that when you start playing the most difficult thing is to stop. Developers put an amazing storyteling and gameplay system which makes you get immersed in the game to such extent that trying all options to get the whole picture and storyline is a must. If you love Turn based RPG and enjoy a good storyline... get this game but be sure you have plenty of time to dedicate to it! :P

Age of Fear: The Undead King8
Jan 12, 2018
This game is very interesting. Graphics are simple yet beautifully designed and the developers effort and passion can be felt within. Playability is quite good and the background story is linear yet provides a good level of immersion. This is one of those games that captivated me and attached me to the characters, wanting to play the next battle to see how the story would unfold. If you like strategy games then give this game a chance, you might be positively surprised.

Quantum Break9
Dec 25, 2017
Quantum break is one of those games that reminds me about how to use real actors instead virtual modeled characters can make all the difference in the world. I had been looking forward to play this game and I must say that it was an excellent experience. The story is very interesting, the live show adds a layer of entertainment and the game itself has good game play. There are lots of good things such as: - Live show - Junction choices - Actors - Plot - Background based on quantum physics. - Difficulty level Only negative thing: - Choices do not affect the game enough, so replay-ability is very limited. I would give a 9/10. Thanks Remedy!

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness9
Dec 23, 2017
It has been a long time since I have put so many hours into a game. Honestly, the only negative part I found about the game is that it is way too addictive and some places require too much of grinding. :P. Also the item world and climbing 100 floors can get somewhat tiresome. Story is great, gameplay is good and also the geopanels make the game interesting. I would have liked more side story but I highly recommend this game for JRPG and Final Fantasy Tactics/Ogre battle lovers.

Transistor9
Jan 13, 2017
Transistor is a Fantastic game. If you have played Bastion, you would feel familiar with the narrative, as it is somehow similar. The game is more or less short but brings replayability in NG+ as well. The story is fantastic and has plenty of reference to programming terminology, but the designers made it in such a way that it recreates a new whole world and environment by lending some metaphores from the computing into a fantasy world. This also translates into combat, which is rich and has numerous combinations and tactics to play. The graphics are just amazing, seem to be hand drawn carefully, the animation is fluent and natural and the soundtrack is incredible. Normally I am not taken by games music, but this one was the exception and it made me feel like getting the soundtrack. This game is worth to play and I would definitely recommend it. Thanks to the developers for such amazing game. IMHO 9.5/10

Jotun10
Jan 10, 2017
Jotun is a fantastic game, with beautifully draw graphics and an amazingly interesting story. It is one of those games you can say its not only about fun but learning as well. It is a relatively short game but that is not a negative point. The challenge is average and it provides insight and tactic combat. I would love RPGs creators to take ideas used in Jotun, like the graphics and animations. This is one of the art that I keep missing from recent titles. A cartoon animation fits this game wonderfully. By means if you enjoy hand drawn graphics and action/adventure games, Jotun is one of those titles that you would remember for some time.

Blackguards9
Jan 9, 2017
Blackguards is a very interesting game with complex dynamics of the Dark Eye. IMHO this game deserves a 8.5/10 and definitely worth hours of gameplay and to some extent re-playability. I found myself planing for hours what spells to get and how to develop some characters. Pros: - Detailed characters that come to life - Good roles mixture (I played as a mage but my real emphasis was a fighter with usage of the shadow spell) - Detailed scenarios - Fantastic spells and animations. - Hard difficulty requires strategic previous character planning to be able to beat some encounters. Cons: - No 360 camera support - Sometimes win or lose a battle feels more luck than strategy (Fail all the hits and all the magic, bad luck meaning lose). - Mechanics such as Buy/Sell kind of feels incomplete and Weight system feels off - End of the story is incomplete and leaves you wondering (Blackguards 2 continues this?) Overall I must say I did really enjoy the game, and the story development might is interesting although not among the most interesting from the Daedalic games or Baldur's gates games storylines.

Murdered: Soul Suspect8
Dec 30, 2016
Murdered: Soul Suspect is a nice game, that perhaps falls short if you are a fan of Square Enix games. Graphics and animations are smooth, complemented by a nice interesting story with characters personalities that make you get to know more about them. Nevertheless it feels as if it did not achieve its full potential. The combat feels shallow and the final developments of the whole story do not add up nicely as one would expect. Overall it is a nice game, which I would recommend and definitely give IMHO a 8/10.

TimeShift (2007)8
Dec 25, 2016
At the time of this writing, Time-shift feels a bit old, not because of the graphics but mostly the storyline. This does not make the game bad, but definitely the plot is one of the weaknesses. The concept of manipulating time is very clever and I have not found it in any other game to date. It is a solid FPS with a respectable graphic quality, even for our current generation. The game itself is short and the learning fast and difficult spike is not high. I finished it and my only regret was the very shallow storyline. Still, Sierra did a very good job, IMHO as this game is worth a 8/10, specially for its innovative system and thus it is recommended for the casual player of FPS, like me. Thanks Sierra for this good game!

Ryse: Son of Rome8
Dec 25, 2016
Ryse: Son of Rome is a very interesting game, that although for some would seem short, it comes packed with the potential to make every single hour you invest in it worth it an enjoyable. Some things I really liked: - Graphics - Plot (Although it could have been better) - Characters are vivid and you feel identified with them - Gameplay: Exterminations and Tactic oriented combat was interesting. I was not appealed by: - Skill systems and upgrades: Feels somehow short - The collection systems: Picking up scrolls and the likes did not add aggregate value to me. - For some the game combat can become repetitive. I would definitely give the game an 8/10. Enjoyed it a lot! I did not try the multiplayer, so cannot comment on it.

The Cursed Crusade6
Dec 18, 2016
The cursed crusade is one of those games you realize was put strong effort on and has great visuals with an attempt of good storytelling, nevertheless falls short on it. Nevertheless even with its flaws it is fun to play and definitely recommended if you accept its flaws. I cannot comment on Co-op or Online modes because I did not try them. Positive: - Visuals: The strongest point, quite good graphics for a simple title - Fighting and animation: Movements and animations feel authentic - Re-playability/Collectives: For the completionist people this might be a bonus Could have been better: - Storyline: feels shallow - Characters: personality overload, do not generate connection like weak jokes - Weapon systems: Great effort put on weapons combination, but it feels incomplete - Bugs: Graphics out of place and character gets stuck.

Blood Knights8
Feb 16, 2015
Somehow I always like the games played from Kalypso. They are such a studio that the games are never perfect, but always manage to get the most of fun from it. This game is one of such. Quite a mid length campaign, not so long to make it repetitive, not so short to make leave you without taste. I liked both characters a lot, specially the vampire girl, just awesome. Story is OK, but could have been more elaborate. This game is simple, combat system is not so complex and weapon and armor system also symple. Overall I would give this game a 7.8/10. Recomended for RPG lovers.

This game fulfills what it promises. To be a nice graphically anime game with simple system and very short storyline. It just delivers and the short hours played make up for the fun. Sometimes games do not have to be complex or long to be enjoyable.

I just loved this game. Graphics are excellent. Gampeplay is amazing Controls are good enough Story is quite good. And the partners/alternate stories/liking system is unique. I even played 2 times in order to get the best ending!. The only thing missing is a continuation of the story, perhaps a sequel is needed?.

A good time pass casual game that will relax and entertain you in between the preparation for your next long non casual game. I really enjoyed this game, specially because its simple and its fun. The difficulty system is a bit unbalanced and after you finish it there is not much else to do, but definitely recommended, specially with a controller!. Also you can see the programmers really tried to make a good job, and put lots of effort into it, even it there are some flaws it is worth playing!.

Faery: Legends of Avalon10
Jan 6, 2015
Please read till the end :) I got this game for USD 5 and being aware of the criticism from some users, stating the Game was not completed. And I am glad to had bought it. I spent 14 hours playing this game and exploring the available worlds of Avalon and I can say: - The game was undoubtedly developed as a first part of a continuous saga, which seems it never came. - The game play is quite simple and the options limited - The skills and weapons systems feel a bit unpolished. - Re-playability is not high Anyway, errors are always easy to point. Still, at the end the most important thing is to enjoy the experience and definitely that was what happened to me while playing this game. This game gives you the feel the developers actually invested a lot of effort and somehow it just kept coming to my mind that this is one of those games that was developed with passion and love. It might sound silly but that's my main point. Any of you that is fond of not too complex RPGs with a gorgeous environment should give this title the opportunity to surprise you.

Dust is a nice game, that might be easy even on the hardest difficulty and has unbalanced leveling play, but it provides an interesting cure story and somewhere around 20 hours of entertainment. Amazing for such a small team of devs to come up with a nice and fun game.

I know QuanticDreams from the PS3 game Heavy Rain, so I decided to get this game and believe me... it is better than even Heavy Rain. Amazing and trilling game, which is not so long overall, but in my experience I prefer a game to be short but fun instead of long and give you room to get bored. This is a Jewel for the price that GOG offers it, taking into account that is 100% compatible with last gen operating systems. Also take into account with a small hack (check youtube) you can even run it at FullHD 1920x1080 resolution. I have not finished it yet, but I do not care anymore about the ending, as the playing has been soooo damn good. I want to even start to play guitar again :P Get it!

Trine10
Jan 10, 2013
I just checked a couple of screenshots before getting Trine and thought about having it as a resting game from some heavy time-consuming titles I was playing. Still when I started the game and saw the story and the amazing visuals... felt so happy to have bought it. Not to mention the collaborative approach that makes you think that one skill is never enough but is team work what can make things really really work. I completely congratulate the company and developers for this game that gave me some really nice hours of fun. You can see in every aspect of the game that the people were putting their heart, from the visuals, to the gameplay, the story to the puzzles, its a game designed and developed with passion. The only downturn is that the "Very Hard" difficult only unlocks when you first beat the game and I am the kind of person who would like to play a game only once and in maximum difficulty, besides being only slight difference among them. Thumbs up for this amazing game!!!

I must confess I bought this game after reading many reviews and wanted to see how bad it was. Nevertheless it was surprising to actually see that I was enjoying the game, the environment, playability and even the story. Come on guys! this game is not so bad. Well, I must say 2 bad things: Some control issues and the Ending (among the worsts I have seen IMHO). Still this game made me have a very good time during a whole weekend. So lets not be so harsh, it was fun!. Also I got the 20 victims rescued, that was one of the things I enjoyed the most!.

Just finished playing the game and I must say I am impressed. The environment is alive and beautiful, the game-play, although has some control glitches is quite good and the time spent playing it feels very rewarding, still even if I did not play nightmare mode. I really enjoyed not only playing it but also getting the items from every level up to 100% and watching the videos of the making of that were unlocked after you were playing. Definitely a recommended game to get and play. Pros: Story, Scenery, Puzzles, Short (yes for me is a pro), Making of Cons: Controls, Nightmare difficulty is not good. Definitely congrats to the developers!!!

LIMBO8
Dec 30, 2012
I am amazed at the kind of game the developers created, specially knowing this was not a game funded by lots of money. The game is extremely refreshing. I was actually playing it after finishing playing other games for the day and it provided me with nice and not stressing puzzles and quiet environment, making me feel very eased. The game is roughly 90 mb. Its really a challenge to make such a detailed game with small size. I am not giving it a 10 because the story was "assumed" and it did not really take part within the game. It is itself immersing because of the environment and puzzles but not the story. "A boy enters LIMBO to look for her sister" its not very appealing, but I did like the end and the steam trophies. I very recommended puzzle adventure 2D game, worth of playing for some hours, although I must warn you that it can take 4 hours to finish it (without getting all the trophies, of course).
