I wanted so badly to like this game, but it falls flat in almost every area. I love the art style and overall vibe of the game. I liked the settlement building aspect, even though it's very basic. The problem is that the gameplay is terrible in every single area. The combat is probably the worst I've ever come across in a modern game. It's stiff, awkward and frustrating. I liked how unlocking the map works, but "exploring" each area is extremely uninteresting since they are so small and lack any sort of variety. The skill tree seems good and comprehensive, but the looting aspect is unrewarding, making the RPG elements feel underwhelming. Story also didn't really make me feel anything one way or another. Overall, a frustrating experience because there was a lot of potential here, but it's just not a good game.

Really cute looking game with lovely art, but the gameplay is just mind-numbingly boring and repetitive. Progression is just tedious and unsatisfying. Writing is also bland. Just not a good game.

The game is beautiful, and the actual slime ranching part is great. Everything revolving around your greenhouse is amazing, especially all the decorating you can do. Unfortunately, this only makes up like 20% of the game. The remaining 80% of the game is exploring the maze-like map for resources, secrets and trying to progress to the next area. This is fine in short doses, but it gets tiresome really fast. The locations are beautiful but not particular fun to navigate, and you're going to be spending a lot of time aimlessly running around these locations. The resource grind is unbearable at times, as everything you want to craft is insanely expensive, even cosmetic items. It turns the game into a boring chore. If only they focused on the actual slime ranching in a game called Slime Rancher.

One of the most boring games I've ever played. I don't understand how so many people are gushing over this. It must be mostly children playing this because the writing is boring, the combat is terrible and the graphics are generic. Just getting through the tutorial section was unbearable.

Nice art style and fun gameplay mechanics are completely ruined by boring and frustrating procedurally generated levels. There's too much RNG that can ruin your runs and the levels just get boring after a while because they all look the same. Really could have benefited greatly from hand crafted levels.

It's charming but holy cr*p is this game boring. Absolutely trivial puzzles that don't offer any challenge or enjoyment. It's not nearly as clever or interesting as it wants to be. It gives you the illusion that there are tons of options, but most of the time there's only one way to go about things. The only real choice you get is what ally you want to summon so you can just sit there and watch them fight for you, which just gets tedious. Definitely a subpar Zelda experience.

Extremely bland game that gets boring after 2 hours. I think it could have been a much more enjoyable game if it was based on progression instead of a rouge like.

Dumbed down reskin of the previous games. Less content, less replayability, and underwhelming soundtrack. It took only 4 hours to beat on hard mode. I wish they would just expand on the Kingdom formula instead of just putting out the same game over and over again with a different theme. This game is a huge step back for the series.

Massive disappointment. The humour is mediocre at best and just straight up cringe at worst. As someone who love's Rick and Morty, it really feels they're really scrapping the bottom of the barrel with these jokes. As for the gameplay, it's pretty bad. Gunplay feels stiff and there's not enough variation in guns or how you go about killing enemies. Overall, the game just ****. Only reason I'm giving it a 5 is because some of the locations are pretty cool looking and I respect that they were trying to do something different. Oh, and the performance is terrible on PC, too.

It's quite cute and charming, with absolutely gorgeous animations with fun and quirky characters, but the "gameplay" is extremely lacking. The gameplay is basically just clicking through menus and playing a very basic card building mini game. It was enjoyable for a couple hours but got stale and repetitive really quickly. It's a shame because I really wanted to enjoy it, but there just isn't enough here to keep you engaged.

Not a bad game. It might help bring a new generation of players to AoE, but for returning players, It's a massive disappointment. There's nothing here to cause players to move over from AoE2, which is still a far superior game. AoE2 has way more features, civs, and better game mechanics. They played it way too safe, and they really needed to do more. Just feels outdated at this point, definitely not worth the 60 dollar price tag. 16 years for this??

This is a really good game. All the negative reviews are about entitled people complaining that Russian isn't supported or are complaining about the graphics. I think the graphics are pretty delightful and keep true to the original game, which is the whole point. If you want realistic graphics, go back to playing COD. The gameplay is very enjoyable and the story and writing is pretty amusing. My only complaint is that the game is a bit too easy and kinda plays itself.

Truly amazing little game. It's a brilliant mix of tower defense, survival, and resource management. Mechanics are super simple, but the randomly generated worlds are unforgiving and become quite challenging, especially early on, since the game tells you very little about how the environment works. Art style is gorgeous, music is top notch, and the gameplay is satisfying and addictive. Some players won't appreciate its simplicity and repetitive nature, but if you have the patience, this is definitely worth a try.

This is a love it or hate it type of game. It's a completely unforgiving survival game. There's a MASIVE learning curve, and you'll die and start over dozens of times before you even establish a proper base for your character. You could play for 100 hours and still not get the hang of it. But once you do, It can be a very rewarding experience, as long as you have the patience. All aspects of this game are creepy, from the music to the artwork to the monsters, but I always found the game quite soothing for some reason. Definitely check it out if you want a challenge, but be prepared to put in the work! Checking out guides before you start would probably be a good idea.

This could of been a great game. I have to say that I had a blast playing this for the first 10 hours, but it lost it's appeal very quickly. Visually, the game is fantastic. It's bright and unique, and it makes a nice change from most big title games which usually have depressing settings. The combat was really fun at first: Grinding, wall-running, jumping from building to building, all while shooting up hordes of enemies with silly and unique weaponry. But a major flaw in the game is that there isn't enough variation in enemies. There's basically just 3 types of enemies in the whole game, with a few small exceptions. Also, the story is like 2 hours long. It can be funny at times, but usually comes across as pretentious with all the dumb pop-culture references. Once you're done with the story, you're left with a handful of generic side quests that lack any sort of creativity or variety. Once you get past all the eye candy the game overs in the beginning, you realize how hollow it is. Also, the game is just way too easy, it's a joke.

If you're looking for an honest review, look no further. Let's start with the pro's: The gameplay is immersive and challenging, if not a bit clunky. It forces you to get creative, which is an area that most games fail in. The variety in weapons and enemies are fantastic, and there have been numerous battles that have really got my heart pounding. The variety in builds are also great, allowing you tons of options to customized your character through traits and clothing. Some people have complained about the graphics, but I think they're fine. If you use mods, like Springtime in the Commonwealth, it will greatly improve the landscape, and make it feel less baron and depressing. Mods in general greatly improve the game in my opinion, especially during a second play-through. The world is large like the other fallout games, but they learned from their mistakes and added more urban areas to make the world feel a little more dense. Being able to customize your weapons and armor is also nice. Now for the cons: Like fallout 3, the game suffers from a sub-par story, an unsatisfying ending, and non-memorable characters. They also dumbed down the dialog system, making it so you can only respond with Yes, No, Sarcastic, and what the hell are you talk about? This makes it so you don't actually know what your character is going to say in a conversation, not like it really matters because the choices you make don't really make any difference. This is a game that brags about have a **** ton of dialog, but it's mostly post-apocalyptic psycho-babble that gets tedious very quickly. They also destroyed the desire to go out on your own and discover new locations. You'll come across a cool building and go inside and clear it, but later on in the game you'll be given a random quest that sends you there anyway, making it pointless to have gone there before the quest. Pretty much all the side quests are dumb, randomly-generated fetch quests, and you'll have to do a bunch of them if you want to progress in one of the 4 factions. Like all of bethesda's RPG's, the companions are a joke, and you're better off just going it alone. Like I said in the pro's, upgrading and modifying your equipment is a nice touch, but actually pulling it off is the most tedious thing in the game. You'll spend half the game looking at broken selves, lockers and desks looking for items like duct tape and glass. Because a lot of the items you need to upgrade your equipment are heavy, every 10 minutes you'll be fast traveling to your settlement to unload all this junk. You'll constantly be plagued with "You're carrying too much to run" notice, making it you have to reorganize your inventory every 5 minutes. The crippled limbs system is still in place and is as infuriating as ever. All of these issues would be tolerable if it wasn't for the game-killing crashes. As I write this I am currently stuck in a building where it crashes if I try to get to the top, but also crashes when I try to descend and leave the building, making it so I have to load an old save. Seriously Bethesda? This game has been out for almost a year now, these kind of issues shouldn't exist. I vented about the con's a little more than I meant to, but overall I think this game is more good than bad. I just hope in future versions of the game that Bethesda will fix these issues instead of patting themselves on the back because of these ass-kissing critics.
