I have no idea how this cheap-horribly-done-console-port can have score over 5. Graphic is mediocre at best, game-play is horrible, it feels like some beta version of game from 1999. Animation/character movement is a joke, person/team responsible for that should be fired. And the story? Did they assign it to their kids?

Darksiders I was amazing, rated it 8/10, and was expecting even better game with Darksiders II, did I get it? Yes and No. Character Death was very well done, especially if you have read the book, his sarcasm and witty jokes were amazing and so was his voice-acting. Story provided a lot of new information about Horsemen, Death/War, World, etc. The game focused more on RPG elements such as items but you didn't have to bother with them much since the game is relatively easy and 3/4 of gameplay you spend running around doing puzzles, only 1/4 is combat but that is nothing new compared to the previous game. The music is slightly better, it already was good in DSI, but now there are more different motives and from time to time I thought I was playing Prince of Persia. And where the game fails? Poor PC port. No proper video options, horrible aiming with gun/bombs. Another disappointing aspect of the game is difficulty. On Apocalypse it was fairly easy even without bothering with obtaining best gear only depending on what dropped from the stashes or Bosses. Final fight was was probably worst in the game history. The main boss did not inflict a single damage on Apocalypse and was dead faster than some minor bosses. And with the final boss going down goes the story, the end was horrible and it felt like it was rushed/written by someone else. Over and all, I gave the game 8/10. 20 hours fun with not-so-ordinary character Death, beautiful world design, story (omit the end). Main problems of the game are poor port, easy difficulty, weak ending.

I gave DE:HR 9/10 so why 7/10 for the new content? It is not based on the price (the release price was crazy, that is true). It also brings interesting plot and adds a lot to the story from the base game. Even the setting, the beginning mainly, is good and finally something else than just offices. The problem is the length. It is quite short - 4+- hours, if you read everything/hack then a bit more. But that wouldn't be the biggest problem; mission design. Haven't seen that lazy done mission design in years. Half of the game running back and fort; get there -> get item -> go back -> use it -> go back.

Everything has already been said about this gem among RPGs. Spectacular world, one of the best music in game industry, superb voice-acting. So why not 10/10? The game was unbelievably easy. I died like 5 times on the hardest difficulty. For this I blame poor AI. Enemies line of sight is extremely limited, they are easily lured into kill spot. Credits are useless. During the whole game I bought only few mods for weapons and kits. Hacking is too easy if you have put points into it. Game doesn't reward you for looking for passwords/keys; hacking is always way to go if you want to max out reward. Choices you make have almost no consequences. It doesn't whether you kill everyone or not (except for the Pacifist achievement). And yet I still rate this game 9/10. The story and everything around human r/evolution went really deep, asked interesting questions and provided all different opinions though individual characters.

If they said this is still Alpha or to some degree Beta, I might rate it 6/10 but this? Barely mediocre shooter, full of RPG/tube players. Not even worth for free.

This is how scary and high octane action game should look like. And for those saying the story is non-existent or too linear, I guess you weren't paying much of an attention to all those phone messages and research from laptops. 9/10

Good FPS game that in old-school style: tons of enemies, crazy action, secret places in every level, huge/HUGE bosses, and Insane difficulty, I finished the game on Hard and some levels were truly freaking hard, like it was to it in old-school games of this genre. The positive sides of this game is definitely graphic, that is simply amazing. Next is art design (specially in free DLC). There are also quite a few downsides: short campaign (around 7 hours, with DLC on Hard), weak story that simply ends, and weak/bad voice acting.

First I have to point out: don't listen to those saying it is a cheap console port, it is not. Controls are good, rarely I had problems with it. Graphic is still good and if someone downvotes game purely based on slightly out-dated graphic... The story is truly epic, I like characters, finally game with some memorable ones. Voice-acting is done very well. Combat is fun, fluid and can be quite complex if you want to. The game is relatively long (took me around 12-15 hours to finish it on the highest difficulty) but it wasn't boring, it was still pushing the story forward. I highly recommend this game to God of War, Devil May Cry or maybe Prince of Persia fans. This game is often on -75% sale and for that price it is a steal.

A bit underrated game. The story is nice: atmosphere+graphic style helps a lot. Game includes short review of what happened in the previous game, which is good for those who haven't played it. Campaign is relatively short (around 5 hours) but you can play Vendetta mod (focuses on other characters during the campaign and adds more to the story). In overall it took me 19 hours (one playtrough on Hard, second on Don-Very Hard, third partial playtrough for finishing achievements + Vendetta campaign). I bought the game on Amazon for 12.5USD and it was well worth it. If you like FPS with interesting story, great atmosphere, comics graphic and with a lot of blood, Darkness II is way to go.
