Found the music exceptional, reminded me of Twin peaks it got me at the intro scene and music. Its a bit of a slow burn but it has the compactness of having a full story each episode so if you stick it out your always getting a large reward every hour. Did this review years after watching the show and its stuck in my head and its a real shame it never got a second season. It never got any marketing and was throw out there and expected go viral without assistance and being a amazon prime show sure didnt help it. Looking back id recommend people go watch it as a single season its a rewarding experience.

Dislike tv shows buying the book rights and naming the tv show same as book and then its a different story. WTF if you bought the rights to a story why do you change it, obviously they bought the NAME. They payed for the viewers that come from the NAME. And this bait and switch system they have is very disappointing

The stories seems earthbound and real before the supernatural gets introduced. So it nails the underrated ability to make you care about characters and world before the supernatural gets introduced

Instantly liked this, then as time went saw more and more flaws. Even so still had a great time.

Season 4 is a big improvement over season 3. It's just a little uneven. The characters are great

It's not funny. Clearly a professional TV show its just not close to funny. Don't see how this could lmprove. Don't need to see more to know not for my taste

Like most marvel tv show it seems to run out of time before the story is done. The start is "fine" if they had given it a 10 episode season think it could have been average to above average tv. As it stands its a niche product thats not well made

Wanted something lighter or more historical accurate. Incredible boring Such a shame since the time period has the whole explorer mythos that to me is catnip. Im putting all the blame on the writers. Thought it looked ok even if found the color tone a odd choice, clothes were good. And actors did a good job in my opinion but read someone else saying its "putting lip stick on a pig" which sums it up better then could myself.

Character development and changes to the show happen between seasons. Massive world changes happen between the seasons to the point it is not a single tv show, character and world building is fluid.

Think the source material is just bad, the actual tv adaption is better then the book its based on. So good actors, good filming everything except the actual story is good. These actors and director are wasted on this.

Think each episode on its own are good. But if you binge it the whole seems slightly off kilter, disjointed. It seems unwilling to go into the darker parts of the human mind were the whole show is about. Enjoyed the actor Harry Llod who plays the insecure Bernard. And its visually amazing for TV and the soundtrack is great. Its light entertainment though its not a heavy dark that leaves a emotional scar behind, its glitzy fun with a few twists and turns to keep you entertained not to support a larger picture.

The music and the visuals are terrific. Both the music and the visuals really capture this "80s that never was" vision. Its very "human scifi" its short stories about growing old and dying. Being a teenager and not fitting in. And then in a Twillight Zone method each episode introduces a single supernatural or science feature that interact with the theme of the story, example being terminally ill.

This is infected with the modern political correctness "movement" so if your sensitive to that either your going to love it or hate it independent if its actually a good story. Going back in time im a big lover of Lost by the same maker Lindelof and you do see the same ability at the start of the show to build something very interesting and then a inability to have a ending. That being said you may notice that im still giving this show a fairly good grade above average and thats since this is my type of bad. Not going to justify my taste its very flawed but im still having a decent time even while being pained by the many weakness of the tv show.

This is not the direction i wanted the Who show to go. And to make it worse its badly written, the writing of such a long running show naturally have ups and downs but season 11 is a huge drop.

You should be aware anyone giving this a 10 is BONKERS. They dont actually think its 10 they are just being ... some kind of creepy "fan supporters" somehow they got a agenda they are not telling what they think are the truth. Think its a above average tv show but its very ambitious and does not quite manage to pull it off. Still if you have any desire at all to watch a horror show this is basically as good as it gets, try find a better horror show on currently and you likely wont be able to find one. This is not the best season of it and not the worst.

Its a family drama show. Any claim to be science fiction is ... less then 1-2% of the show. It could be called " the papper work and brown nosing done to get a mars mission of the ground by depressed people and their families on the brink of full collapse" but nobody would go and watch it way to honest.

Race politics aside this is just a horrible story with bad actors, it does have a good filming quality in the camera works and lighting and the clothes and backgrounds are eye candy. It takes its self very seriously but its story is more silly fun but it tries very hard to be serious throwing away the only thing it almost hit by mistake. Black tv show creators needs to learn how to HIDE that ur a racist. Can understand how the official reviewers didnt call wolf, its one of those infected questions which you just dont want to be associated with on either side.

Its a fun little time travel romp, if one dont take it to seriously its a great time. Likely hard to motivate such a high grade using facts and logics but what it all comes down to is after all did I have a good time watching it, and yes i certainly did.

Think this will be remembered as the worst star trek ever. Se more and more look back at enterprise which was the whipping dog of star trek in the past as ... hmm maybe it wasnt that bad it could have been a discovery abomination. Those that dislike this really dislike it, why didnt you make a star trek everyone would have watched that sure they would have complained but they would have watched it. This isnt "star trek" its just another bad scifi show

Consider this a guilty pleasure of mine. If you made the most brilliant tv show ever but it was about golf it would be hard to muster energy to even watch ep1, this is the reverse its exactly what i wanted but they just cant seem to execute it. But at the end of the game this hits very close to my sweet spot, and flaws and all its still great fun.

Didnt have a good time watching this, while one can seek to pick apart reasons why the fact stands on its own. The start was just bad it didnt grab me i felt no interest in any of the characters or the world, the only thing that kept me watching was people saying "it becomes best ever!!!" and well it never got better. Looking for comparison it seems like a bad version of battlestar galatica to me, its a shame since i love scifi and there isnt enough scifi tv basically watch it all good bad horrible i consume it all. Never trust the hype, im a little bit tempted to check out the books but suspect it just not be my thing

Think this might be the closest we have come to a modern twillight zone, anthology shows can be amazing and feel like there should be more of them. Feel like we have 20 doctor tv shows every single year there could lest be 1 anthology show/year Its a impressive show not every episode is equal but im still giving this a 10 since i trying to think of a show that does the same thing but better and cant think of any.

It doesn't need to be as good as the book. You can watch this without having read the book If you remove the fact its based on a "classic" it is much much better then the average scifi tv show and i quite like the mini tv show format. While it is very ambitious and fails to be amazing it still leaves me wishing there were lot more similar scifi out there.

Somehow Elijah wood never impressed me with the lord of rings movies, sure he was good but the movies were good rather then him being especially amazing. Its first in this tv show i realize his actually a really great actor, he really is the STAR in this show. Maybe its since the rest of the actors are not of the same quality as Lord of the rings movies actors were and he just stands out here. Think its a fun and fast show but it seems to be just have 3 tires instead of 4 and the whole thing just gives me a woozy drunk-like experience. But Elijah to me is what holds it together and brings it alive for me making it a great overall experience Find it ironic how a the average book gets a good tv show while the brilliant hitchhiker gets a failed movie

Right now im feeling this is just ok not bad. But give it some time it has the potential to become a cult series if they improve it, we all knew this was going to get crappy professional reviews best ignore those they would not know a good tv show if they were PAID to review it.

It does manage to convey a sense of the personalities of the members of the show and how they cooperated. Its a very concise and illuminating documentary for both the fans who know everything and those who have no facts only know the name of monty python, both will find it pleasant but neither will call it perfect. It does not try to explain how BIG python was that is probably the only thing you need to know before watching this show

To much romance focus to do it for me. Big fan of time travel escapism but this just couldnt hold my attention from the get go. Tried my best to give it a couple of episodes to get going but it was painful to say the lest. Didnt have a problem with any of the actors they are "ok" to me not brilliant but not bad enough i mind. The visuals are good, the music is bad, clothes and setting are good. Its the story that sinks the ship to me

Its has flaws in some bad actors and a few characters that could be better written and "ok" special effects. With these flaws into consideration the story is still very good and it grows each episode getting better and better. They managed to compressed the story quite nicely so it progresses fast. Think its one of the top5 best tv series on right now had a great time watching the first season, it cries out for a second season.
