Concept seems interesting but one of the most frustrating game i played. Mostly cause of mechanics involves during platform puzzles that half the time don't connect. and if you fall of or fail, you will have to restart all over. some areas where puzzles just keep going on and on and you get tired and want it to end already. A lots of stuff game does not tell you such as blocks some projectiles during puzzle in world map or healing outside of combat. With the basic stuff in the beginning of the game, game will pretty much expect you to know certain mechanics. Combat idea sound interesting but gets dull very quick. some times certain combo don't connect such attacking upward and downward to break enemies shield but the input often dont connect properly and i end up doing regular attack and wasting my turn. other half the time i feel like im just button mashing even when im trying to perform certain combo. Difficulty of the game is all over the place. many games where difficulty gradually increasing but here its all over the place. All in all if you really enjoy platform puzzle games, you will like this. wish the control, character movement and jumping were more polish.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water6
Jun 2, 2026
While this game is still from good-average, I feel this is the weakest in the series. The combat in this game while following the same core mechanics as any in the series, it is much much easier. for example, landing a fatal frame shots are so easy to perform that from the first battle to last i was landing chain of fatal frame shots with few regular in between. It is hard not to perform. Than you have shutter chance which is also strong (not as strong as fatal frame). Now last two points are not bad, in fact many people find it more fun but what makes the combat bit annoying is you have to tilt the camera angle. Thankfully apart from taking picture of tokens (still images to solve puzzles) or in very rare cases catching multiple specters in your shots, you never have to worry about that. The most annoying part of the combat is the fatal glance, I feel this is very unnecessary. You need to fatal glance most of the ghost in the game for 100% completion and knowing background story/video on how they died. it requires a certain task to perform in combat for them to become in a stat where you can touch them for fatal glance. issue is some task can be annoying like landing a fatal frame shot when they are in certain position. Other time you perform a fatal glance but the ghost, and this happened so many times with me that ghost are out of bound or something preventing you to go next to them and touch them. They are only there for few seconds before they die. This can be very frustrating with certain boss where i had to kill them multiple times to properly perform a glance. or regular ghost that her far from check point. this fatal glance is found it more annoying than blooming system from the 4th game. This bring up another point, a check point system. in previous game, you were able to save at certain objects like a lamp but here only way the game save your progress at certain checkpoints. So if you missed a fatal glance or specter, you better hope the checkpoint is too long ago or you will be doing all those task again. Apart from being OP in the combat another thing that makes the game easier is accessible to all the items. The game uses chapter select method where at the start of the chapter you can spend points to buy items plus you can find tons of healing items and strong films during you exploration (never had to buy anything exception of mirrorstone in nightmare) which will make your game even easier. this time around you can also have max of 99 mirrorstone at once rather than just 1 like the previous game. while 99 is not realistic to have unless you have so much points to spend, you most likely will have 1-3 in inventory by starting chapter and picking others up on the way. You cannot hoard the items like in the previous games since start of each chapter, your inventory resets but you get a significant items to start with on each chapter. with how the combat and the item handed to you, this game felt more action than survival from the start. The game has a point system which ranks you for each chapter you play. You get points from killing ghost, capturing specters or other objects and item that you did not use during the chapter will get you points after finishing it. So to get the highest score S+, you have to use the weakest film and being stingy with using items to accumulate points. Atmosphere is pretty good, something you can expect on any fatal frame game. you have environment mixed with traditional Japanese structures and your modern. the Story without spoiling, I feel is the weakest in the series. I felt like they were writing what ever came in their head for the sake of making another game. The background story on each ghost, reading document, watch videos were just boring. maybe because i played all the previous games and this just seem too predictable to me. But this is just my personal view since this can be different for others. With that said the game is still not bad, i would say it is average compare to others in the series. It has some annoying factors which i hope in future if they ever decide to make a new fatal frame, they should not add these mechanics. Mechanics like blooming or fatal glance, the may sound good on a paper, but while playing they can hinder you enjoyment or least for me. Other aspect is ghost grabbing your hand randomly while picking up items can be annoying. At first it seems interesting but going their it like 100 times, you will be rolling your eyes. these don't add much to the game but take away.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse7

Its not as good as the first 3 in the series, but still good. combat is pretty good, pacing of upgrading your camera and getting stronger upgrade/lens are good. But the game has annoying mechanic which doesn't add much but take away from it such as hands randomly grabbing you as you try to take items on ground. Or RNG in getting enemies to become blossom. Also almost all areas except for few in the game tight close quatres or narrow hallways/corridors. Fighting ghost that keep hiding in walls and suddenly attacking, while you can't do anything because they are on the other side of the wall can get frustrating. Story isn't that bad, but its not as interesting either, its just ok. Overall its not a bad game, just some annoying aspect which eventually you will get use to since you will be playing 3 times plus 20 special missions with S+ rank to 100%. And if you are fan of series, you might enjoy this one.

Gameplay is great, really like the fresh new upgrade system for guns with Leon. With grace you cannot upgrade weapons, you can upgrade her to increase her weapon power. while the game is great, it felt bit short but not too short like RE3 remake. Has a good replay value if you want to do multiple playthrough. Leon gameplay is all action while Grace is some action and mostly survival aspect, which balance the gameplay just fine. Only thing was i felt they over did with chase and hide and seek segment with grace. All in all had a blast playing through the game.

Silent Hill f7

This game isn't worst like some say but it isn't amazing either, I personally think its average or above average at best. This is different than previous silent hill games as It is heavy on combat (more like hack and slash style). You have your health bar, stamina bar, focus/sanity meter (allows you to do stronger attacks and able to see enemies move to counter it), and power meter. dodge and perfect dodge enemies attack and able counter their attack for critical hits. You can equip accessories (omamori), and have 3 classes of weapon (light, medium and heavy). Combat is smooth, along with the gameplay. Music is ok, so as the voice acting (both English and Japanese). Story is hit or miss. Some love it, others hate it and i personally didn't care for it. in fact the story was the weakest aspect of the game. It is very simple without any creativity. Atmosphere and environment are decent feel like a combination of silent hill and fatal frame. over all its a decent or above average game with a weak story. Felt like another game with Silent Hill name slapped on it for sale purpose.

Pros
the combat is fun, and love it that i can respec at any point. playing with different build, specially longsword feels great. Game has a lot of exploring which is a plus. the bosses while not too hard compare to other souls game, they are still fun to fight. has variety of different armors for fashion play and love the characters and boss designs. Cons
they might want to fix the hit boxes on longsword and spear, many time i see my attack just passes through enemies and not hitting them. they gotta remove hyper armor on trash enemies, can't go through combo without getting punished. or atleast make it that other weapon beside axe can stagger enemies (specially longsword and spear). some of the areas filled with traps don't feel difficult but cheap or just annoying. with that said seems like a new patch will address few of the cons soon (hopefully). overall game need bit of polishing which can be done via patching but still plays great and having fun going through the game.

to keep in mind this game is roughlite, it a short burst of fun but gets boring quick as you will be in same map over and over again with addition of small new areas. Although there are good number of bosses which is good. it might be more fun if you play with people you know but with randoms, it can be annoying some time. the group really have to be coordinated properly. you have to be really quick efficient or you might not make it. which can easily make you lose 15-45 min per run. There is a small progression system but the rewards are usually trash. personally i don't think the game worth the price tag, maybe 20-24 but not 40.
