Night in the Woods is one of those games that just feels special, it isn’t just a cozy small-town exploration game, it also slowly dips into unsettling, Lovecraftian territory. As Mae, a college dropout, reconnects with her hometown, things start to feel off, with strange occurrences and a growing sense of unease. I spent both times hanging out with Bea. Their relationship felt real to me, there’s this mix of awkwardness and unspoken feelings that makes it hit hard. I didn’t really spend time with Gregg, but Bea’s story was enough to make me feel connected. The soundtrack by Alec Holowka was just the best... The blend of weird, unexplainable events and deep, emotional storytelling gives Night in the Woods a unique, haunting vibe that sticks with you long after you finish it.
Sonic Adventure DX is a timeless classic where Sonic and his friends take on Chaos and Dr. Eggman. The plot is simple, finding the Chaos Emeralds to save the world, but it’s all about the fun, and the characters really make it shine. I loved exploring Station Square, jumping on cars, walking through the sewers, and just chilling by the beach while listening to the awesome soundtrack. The open world is small, but somehow it feels complete, like every corner has something interesting to discover. The atmosphere is unique, with each area offering its own vibe, from vibrant city streets to eerie ruins. Like I said, the soundtrack is iconic, blending energetic rock with emotional tunes that perfectly match the mood of each moment. I loved everything about this game: the addictive Chao Garden, Sonic’s memeable mouth movements in dialogue, and the wtf Russian translation by Фаргус. Sonic Adventure DX sparked my love for Sonic in 3D. A must-play for fans!
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a love letter to the Old West. The open world is impeccable, every ride made me feel like Clint Eastwood, but with way more emotional damage. Rockstar didn’t just make a game, they handcrafted a cowboy simulator so immersive it makes real life seem unpolished and underdeveloped. Arthur is tragic hero for the ages, his story is a gut punch wrapped in cowboy grit. And Dutch... Was he ever cool? Or were we all just gaslit by the hat and the swagger? This isn’t just a game, it’s an experience that redefines what open-world storytelling can be. 10/10 would ride into the sunset with Arthur again
