Lights Out9
Jul 23, 2016
James Wan is still able to reinvent the horror genre in his new movie Lights Out. With a new fresh idea James Wan has created a gripping story that kept my eyes glued to the screen anticipating what would happen next. The cinematography is down right good, the characters feel real, so much so that it's hard not to have some kind of attachment to the characters on screen. The story is clever in it's own right, it's a very open and close story, I don't expect a sequel but maybe James Wan will surprise me like he did with this film. This movie is truly incredible and is defiantly worth watching. The movie keeps finding ways to surprise you, don't judge this film based on the trailer it doesn't begin to scratch the surface. I would highly recommend that you go watch this film!

The Dark Knight Rises10
Jul 22, 2016
The Dark Knight Rises is a great way to end the franchise on a high note! Christopher Nolan has done an incredible job bringing the characters to life and truly keeping my eyes on the screen. The movie is one to be watched over and over again, whether it was Christian Bale's performance that brought Batman to life or the practical effects and multiple locations and a wide range of sets the crew defiantly met my expectations. Tom Hardy's performance was truly frightening and made the character feel real. The movie is beautiful and the story is gripping alongside an incredible cast makes this movie one of my favorite movies of all time, and it is sad that I wont see anymore Batman films from Christopher Nolan because this was amazing! I highly recommend that you watch it as soon as possible!

Me Before You8
Jul 22, 2016
Me Before You takes and innovative new story and executes it beautifully. With a great cast and an interesting story I can say that I am very impressed. Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin are convincing and had my eyes glued to the screen and created an emotional attachment between me and the characters making me truly show concern for the characters on screen. The story was brought straight to life! This was one of my favorite films this year. I would recommend that you give this movie a try, even I was doubtful from the start, but I can truly say that what you see will surprise you!

The Purge: Election Year6
Jul 22, 2016
The Purge: Election Year was a good way for Michael Bay to finish the franchise with a new idea and loads of action and fight scenes. The fight scenes didn't feel over used alongside all of the gun violence for once, but what really got to me was the poor character development. The characters just felt like they were there to die, I felt no emotional attachment to any of the characters. One thing The Purge: Election Year is good at doing is pushing a few boundaries here and there, it showed almost all of what the audience wanted to see in most of the fight scenes. But it failed to surprise me and make me show concern despite how brutal the scenes were. The story is good and it's nice to see a fresh idea but the character development lets the film down, but overall it might be worth watching if you've seen the other two films and you are curious to see how it ends but if you haven't it might not be the film for you.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens10
Jul 21, 2016
Star Wars The Force Awakens is an amazing revival to the franchise that captured my imagination all those years ago and is great for the new and old generations. The story continues where the last one left off and introduces a few new characters while working them in alongside the old characters played by there original actors. The story is amazing, it's quite obvious that J.J Abrams grew up with Star Wars and it shows in this film. A lot of effort was put in to make this as good as the films from the original trilogy from the practical effects and real sets you can see how much the crew and production team at Disney care about what they are bringing up to the table. To say that I loved this movie would be an understatement as this is the best film in Disney's line up for 2015 and to say the least, it's a masterpiece!

Ghostbusters5
Jul 21, 2016
Ghostbusters is an okay remake of the 1984 film but leaves a bit to be desired. The film was definitely better than the trailer and is probably better than you might expect. The opening is a bit of a cliché and failed to impress but the movie started to make up for its opening through some okay character introduction and a good back story to support the main characters. The four characters were good and are probably what make this film worth watching from beginning to end. Even though the characters were good Kate McKinnon’s character was slightly under used and could have been one of the biggest highlights of the film. The rest of the characters are good enough at keeping up and even though some of them seemed like they weren’t very important at the beginning they worked themselves in well enough. But what lets it down are the cringe worthy jokes, alongside that the soundtrack was just terrible and left me waiting for it to end. The story is okay enough and so are the characters but this film doesn’t seem good enough for me to recommend it to anyone. Even though it could have done better, it was an okay entry but I don’t think that there will be a sequel worth watching soon, but I might be wrong and only the future knows.
