No wonder this game was given away as a free game. Feels like Korean/Chinese shovelware. Tons of frame drops and lag especially when round begins, textures washed out and muddy without any detail like a ps2 game. Controls are the most un-intuitive and movement/fighting is just about getting spammed and super clunky. No way to rebind their horrible control system. No real tutorial and the horrible UI and menus don't help. Impossible to see what your spells and abilities do without going to training and memorizing, no way to know items you pick up quickly or what they do due to the UI problems. Just feels like a sloppy beta game. Even the game itself is just fighting basic bots on these small boring looking areas where you get ganked from the side. Camera and movements are slow and sluggish as well and for a melee fighter game it just feels like the systems are set up to the the opposite instead of being well made like a "blade symphony". I got it for free and it wasn't even worth it because I wouldn't be getting the time I wasted on it back. 4/10.

Space MOBA. Doesn't bring much to the table. You capture small bases until you destroy their main base. As in most MOBA's you either are down and stay down and lose, or win. There's very few close games or much you can do about it yourself. There's 9 ships total, but you take 3 to battle with you, so really only 3 diff combos, which isn't much for a MOBA. All of the level's are very similar and play the same. Getting resources take forever. There's also barely any people playing anymore, so after long waits you play as a level 1 guy playing with level 30/40 people that have better abilities and have played a ton and you get destroyed. Also because of the rock scissors paper of the ship types if you run into the wrong type you usually die. Really hard to escape or get way. No real dodges or evasions. If you fight someone and someone else shows up you just lose. Annoying how if you're getting shot you just have to slowly fly away taking more shots and dying, as there's nothing you can do. Felt i had experienced everything game had to offer in 30-45 min.

Table Top Racing: World Tour5

Just your standard racer with pickups. The driving is poor, as turning feels awful, there is no fluidity to movement, as you just feel you are navigating this big metal block. Maneuvers such as drifting aren't receptive, as well as crashes. No damage to vehicles. Pickups are boring standard run of the mill stuff. Game feels very bare bones. There are a fun standard modes, and every map/track feels same with a different coat of paint (background). Online play is the playing the same mode on the small amount of maps, and if you get behind you never catch up. I played for 30 min and started to feel repetitive. If you want to grind the AI championships you can unlock higher level cars race the computer with, but that's about it. There's nothing distinctive or interesting about this game besides that you are supposed to be small in tabletop environements. But the driving and control is poor, as well as the combat/itemization. Feels like a low-budget indie game. Play mario kart instead.

Just a not very good game. The sensitivity and control of gun and aiming is terrible. Control of cars is bad. You usually never know where you're getting hit from and can't avoid due to lock on guns. People lock on auto kill you from 300 feet away and nothing you can do about it. Can't see anyone's health or if you're actually damaging or hurting them. There's basically 2 types of cars and tank just seems better. There's a few maps and basically 2 modes. Just a bare bones game. Got repetitive and boring after 3 matches and there's nothing more to do than keep grinding to change color and what you put on your car. But its a driving combat car game with bad combat, aiming, and car driving. No thanks

Cyanide is known for making poorly designed and implemented games, and they don't disappoint. This is a "hardcore" stealth game that expects you to do all of this stealthing perfectly, yet gives you none of the right tools or mechanics to do so. In this game if you get found out you usually die. This is because of some terribly implemented and designed combat. For some reason if someone engages you in combat, you are drawn in like a tractor beam and must fight, and are unable to run away, which makes literally no sense. Then theres the actual combat. You can parry and roll. You must have multiple parries before you can attack the person. The parry system is horribly implemented and it is impossible to tell when to parry. If you dodge out of the way of an attack, like behind the guy, you aren't able to attack him even though you are behind and he has just missed an attack. Instead you must wait and just parry enough times to be able to kill him. Don't ask me why. There has been a lot said about the levels. Yet they are big with multiple paths, but its usually just a facade. I would find myself going up and down, only to usually reach a dead end of a ledge that had nothing to jump onto or down to. Many things are not climbable, like ropes and chains that are hanging down. Jumping up wooden towers also isnt possible. The platforming is terrible. You will constantly die because you thought you could make a jump and cant. He jumps very rigidly and theres no flow to platforming. You cant even drop down to hanging on a ledge when standing on it. You have to instead run off it and hope he grabs on. You also can only jump up and down grips on walls if you look down or up and the triggerable action for jumping to that specific place is over the grip. Its not organic at all. Then theres the stealth. It is super finicky, and has no rhyme or reason to it. I would sometimes be spotted in a completely dark area. You never know when you are in cover of darkness or not. I would be spotted from guys around corners or pillars that I couldn't see. Sometimes i would drop down off something 2 feet off ground and be heard from a guy, sometimes i wouldnt. Sometimes i would climb up object behind a guy and be heard, sometimes i wouldnt. Then theres health. Theres basically none to be found in any of the levels, meaning if you get far and have none and get found out, you're screwed. Then theres the very well designed checkpoints, which are usually every 15-20 minutes and have no logic around them. Entering new areas or having the objective waypoint change when you reach an area doesn't trigger them, meaning you never know when they will occur. One well done level has you auto fail if you get detected at all. I killed an archer on a ledge with a silent kill and instead of letting him fall backwards, my guy basically pushes him off the ledge onto the ground below in an area populated by guys. They didn't see me as I was high up above them and in the cover of darkness, but nonetheless I instant failed the level. And even though I had passed multiple doors and areas, and had the waypoint change multiple times, I had to restart the entire 15-20 min level at the start. That is what this game is. It is about dying 90% due to the poorly designed stealth mechanics/platforming mechanics/level design and having to redo the 10-15 min part bc of the terrible checkpoint system. One of the most, if not THE most, poorly designed stealth games I have ever played. Another failure for Cyanide Studios. P.S. Graphics aren't bad and levels are big and vertical.

Game is utter trash. No story or dialogue to speak of. No direction or explanation of mechanics. I just wandered around these rooms not sure if I was going the right way, doing random puzzles solved through trial and error. All of a sudden I fight this boss. You have to go through multiple stages and guess what, its 1 hit kill and repeat entire fight. Oh and he takes up 90% of screen with a fire breath move, but you cant stay too far to right because theres a fire pit. So this means you must stay in this tiny sliver of area while moving on a conveyor belt with blocks coming down to push you. Oh and did i mention it ask all this but has floaty unresponsive movement and control of your character? So to give you a stupidly unfair fight with 1 hit kill and bad controls to do so....ultimate fail on all levels. Skip

It's like **** it used terrible overly pixelated graphics that make it hard to distinguish anything, if you fought the same 3 guys the entire level (some requiring 15 shots to kill), had no saves during entire planets, gave you no health at all during the level, and forced you to replay entire 10 min segments due to lack of saves and not a single enemy dropping **** a megaman that does nothing right in game design.

Super Time Force3
May 21, 2016
This game seriously ****. Story and dialogue was funny, liked different time period based levels. Didn't mind the terrible over-pixelated graphics like some people. The biggest problem is the game's entire mechanic. The rewind mechanic is overly complicated and finicky. The problem wouldn't even be bad but for no apparent reason they add a 60 second time limit to every level and boss fight. It makes no sense and takes all fun out of the game. During regular levels it isnt so bad, but just forces you to rush through level as quickly as possible. During boss fight it ruins the game. You never had enough time bc the bosses have huge health, fly around, and have tiny hitboxes on certain spots you have to aim at with the terrible imprecise aiming controls. This means you could be 3/4 out of time and realize you haven't done enough damage for time limit and have to start it all over again which is so dumb. But with the mechanic it makes game super repetitive. For boss fights, you go through 10 seconds of shooting him, then rewind, go through it again with another character, then rewind again, then do it with another character. Then youve passed that 10 seconds and the other characters are gone and you have to rinse and repeat this. It super annoying and gets old fast, and the added unnecessary time limit makes it unbearable on boss fights. I got sick of repeating boss fights 100 times with different characters replaying only to not kill in the appropriate time limit. It's not inherent difficulty, even with the 1 hit kill, its just added repetition the game forces on you with the mechanic, but especially the time limit. Pass on this turd.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty5

Really unimpressed with this game, especially after reading the good reviews. The world is interesting. Theres not much of a story at all, just him traveling a few places, but theres only a few cutscenes. The game has decent length. The problem is the game is set to a bunch of self contained short little levels that copy 3 different level templates from each area and utilizes the same 3-4 mechanics of pulling levels, possessing, and throwing things. This makes the game feel broken up and repetitive. The two hugest problems really bring the score down. First is the lack of tutorial or game explaining anything. The game mentioned nothing about gamespeak or copying NPCs movements or how to do so, which took about 5 min to figure out looking online. Then there are parts where you can take control of bad guys, which is understood. But they never mention you can command these little dogs, and that you can order them to attack, something required to beat a part. For the game to have all these different and weird components it needs to explain them and not just expect someone to know something new for no reason. The worst part of all is the terrible finicky controls. For 2/3 of the jumping and platforming, you need to be in this invisible little trigger boxes to have the desired outcome. If you run and jump your guy just does this tiny this awkward jump forward, unless you are at the perfect spot under a ledge he'll jump up real high to grab it. Same with mines, if you are too close you'll jump way over to other mines, but if you in perfect spot he'll short skip. When jumping with rideable mount over ledges its the same thing. I died so many times because you have to get right under ledges in perfect spot, or by mines, and its all trial and error. A platforming game should not have such weird and horrible controls. Even ordering people around is annoying. You have to stand right on top of them when grabbing multiple people or it will talk to the guy you already got. The ending is dumb and makes no sense, unless you find all these secret levels and let guys loose, and they don't tell you how many you need to get good ending. In the end the lack of direction and some of the, if not the, worst platforming mechanics and controls i have ever seen bring this down.

Interesting idea and aesthetic. Boring gameplay. You open same doors, kill same guys, in exact same looking levels. Unlike certain things like abilities but need to buy them each level for some reason. Need to find multiple items to unlock single gun but because thats only on certain levels you dont progress with game. Made it to final mission but had only 3 guns and would have had to farm to get more. Also threat level is super stupid and once it gets to 1, which it will based on terrible cover, sneaking, and alert systems that are super finicky, youre screwed. Final mission impossible to beat when forced to gun fight 10 guys at once that shoot rockets at you. Some parts you cant sneak which is horribly done. Fun for a level or two, but gets boring real fast, and game systems are poorly done.

Bad for all the wrong reasons. Great art style. Its frustrating due to terrible control scheme. Movement is overcomplicated and super finnicky. Getting around involves shooting a ball, dashing in air, and teleporting. For no apparent reason you cant bind buttons to any of main buttons such as X for jump, you have to use the L and R buttons (huh?). What sort of game wont let you use X as jump when it has no other use for the button. This also makes the platforming unnecesarily annoying. To get around and avoid stuff you have to first aim this ball, then make sure you teleport at the right time. Hell even to hurt guys you cant just shoot, jump, or **** you have to aim and shoot the ball at them and then when it is exactly on them you have to teleport. I cannot count the number of times i teleported a second too soon or late or the bad aiming from the joystick was off. How could they screw up attacking in a platformer. Then you have to spend most of the time aiming this tiny little ball through little crevices and while falling to your death, forcing countless unneeded repetition. So much of the game is forced repetition and trial and error by bad control and level design. That is the artificial type of "hard" you dont want. Also every hazard and enemy is 1 hit kill basically, meaning if you are off you die and need to start again. Thankfully there are numerous checkpoints. Whats annoying is the air dash is a set distance. So for getting around if your aim is off or teleport wrong time, many times air dash will overshoot the platform or the hazard you are trying to skirt around. This makes platforming and getting around extra imprecise and annoying. More time should have been spent on rethinking mechanics and fixing controls compared to art direction. Swing and a miss.

Cool items and level design, although finicky controls with items. Terrible metroid-style world overlay. Some areas you go to the right spot but you needed to go back and go a different way to hit a specific trigger. Should have just had the levels like in first game, unnecessary addition. Terrible just like the first one. Levels are all similar and boring with same enemies. You have a set number of continues then have to repeat entire 10 min long level, no thanks. The worst part is the controls. They still somehow haven't figured how to make it work after all these games. It shoots up diagonally when you shoot it but you never know exactly where it will go, and during swinging if you aren't perfectly lined up with its diagonal path you die. Shooting forwards requires holding downwards shooting (huh?). All the aiming requires combos of directions and shooting which are unintuitive and not helpful during fast motion activities. You can jump now in this one but its 1 inch off the ground. Cant jump and grab ledges, and cant grab while falling. Seemingly easy jumps made impossible by the terrible controls. You feel like tank that ways 1000 lbs, which is just sad for a platformer in 2011. It is stuck with platforming controls, mechanics, level design, save system, and enemies from late 80's/early 90's. There's a reason things have progressed since then. Guess capcom didn't get the memo.

Biggest problem is the single player. You will play a level for 30 minutes and lose not due to your own fault, but because the computer can first try bounce grenades halfway across the level and hitting off 3 objects to land next to you because they are poorly programmed and knew that would happen. Also they can start with different and better gear than you. This is a game about human error and guessing, and that is eliminated if you computer can tell where everything will go. But this game for multiplayer and local play with friends, not the weak campaign with terrible AI.

This is a complete and utter waste of time. There are almost too many flaws to list. It was obvious they made it impossibly difficult because when it came out they just wanted you to pump quarters into arcade machines. This game relies all on trial and error and endless repetition to inflate game length. There is little skill involved. So many parts you have no idea what happens next until you die. It only gives you a few lives and forces you to complete multiple stages before beating a level. If you have to restart you must do all the stages again. It is impossible to get far without cheating, which is super sloppy game design. Also, the game is vastly inconsistent. I would do the same thing 20 times and it would be different each time. Sometimes it would make me slide or not slide at the same part or grab a ledge or not, or a host of other things. Then there are level which ice which are impossible because of how terrible the ice is. There are other levels in complete darkness. Some levels and tons of checkpoints and others have none at all or only one. It makes no sense. The boss fight where you can get hit only 2 times and you have to fight 3 bosses in a row is another form of stupidity. This needs to have regular checkpoints and save points like a normal game. No joy whatsoever from playing. Forcing you to do 20 things right and if you mess up you auto-die because the game is all just endless pits means you have to keep doing it over and over. This is a waste of time. Only good parts are loveable character, music, and environments. Crash bandicoot was an example of how to do platforming and be tough at the same time but still fun. This is the exact opposite in every way. I did play on ps3 but there is no version of that so this is the best I could find. There's a reason ubisoft montpelier still isn't around, crap products like this. Enjoy the review!

Definitely a very fun game. Easily worth it for the 10 dollars it costs. Good variety of enemies with multiple accessories and weapons. Love the customization. The oaths are a nice change of pace, as well as difficulty, and the tests of faith are awesome/hilarious. These things make sure the same levels can be a little different each time. Only a few problems. Mics are always on and cannot mute in game. Also matchmaking and server issues are quite common. Also there are only 5 levels which can be somewhat repetitive if they do not add any more in the future. The levels are awesome though. It would be nice if different enemies game or there were different paths to do. As is it is the same path/enemies/boss every time besides the mutators. Some sort of AI director like in L4d would be nice. While there is customization, it is the same 5 or so heads and each time you just unlock a type of hat to use with each head. And there is only one pants or shirts that are unlocked at each level, which means you only get one to choose from. More cosmetic options would be nice. Hopefully they fix problems and add levels/cosmetic customization.

Everything I had hoped it would be and more. The combat is all but perfect. Hit detection is perfect as well as different damages based on areas of the body. You can chop off body parts which is super satisfying. The combat is simple but deep, with only a short time needed to understand but a long time to master. There are kicks, feints, ducking, blocking, different hits, and dodging. There are many different weapons and classes with their own unlockables to find your best playstyle suited for you. There isn't a ton to unlock which is actually liberating; you get to just enjoy the game without playing with a carrot on a stick like COD players. The gore is well done and the graphics are AMAZING. How an indie studio did this (thank you Unreal engine) amazes me. Just goes to show you don't need to make pixelated or low-budget 1990's graphics platformers just because you are an idie studio. Game has been on top 5 or top 10 on steam in sales last 3 weeks for a reason. Only multiplayer but well priced. The levels are intricate and varied. Some are small arenas, others have different levels and are large. Now the cons. The death traps are great ideas but only 1 level has them really and it seems too hard to utilize them. Would like to see that fleshed out and expanded a bit. There are many different game types which is a positive. There are however only a small number levels or so, for a multiplayer only game which can get tiring. What all but erases this is the makers said they are adding new weapons and levels for free because of the game success (gotta love awesome developers that care about their fans/community (Looking at you infinity ward, releasing 2 new maps and 2 old maps and nothing else for almost price of entire chivaly game)) The combat also always works and you feel like you get outplayed if you lose. Unless you get double or triple teamed which is just a casualty of the game but happens a lot. Nothing is more annoying than when you are rocking someone and their teamate kills you from behind. The makers are also adding duels which is awesome. Sometimes the combat is confusing how it works. You will get hit mid swing and it will stop you and the guy can attack 3 times before you attack one. But then you may hit him with a faster weapon and he still hits you afterward with a stronger weapon, which makes no sense. The progress system makes no sense. You have no clue how close you are to the next level or what it takes to level up. Some levels took me hours and others took me 30 minutes. There was a customization feature but there were no other options after default even after i was much higher level. That feature must not be implemented yet. The lack of customization does take fun away. All in all great game and support this developer. This is everything war of the roses should have been but is nowhere close to. 9.5/10

Great game (before all the DLC screwed it up). There were a few builds that were super-imbalanced and all the noobs used. There were also a few guns that were way too strong compared to others. Still, enjoyed the shooting mechanics and the gadgets made for fun (besides skates and glider) and took some skill. Too few levels and modes but they did a good job releasing stuff for free. The idea of this game is great but not executed very well. Although they say it takes skill and to some degree it does, most of the time it doesn't. All it boils down to is a bunch of people fighting in a concealed area. That leads to most of the time you die it is because you got gangbanged 3 on 1. About 1 in every 4 fights is an even match and comes down to skill. There is no way to sprint or way to get away so you always lose if ganged up on. The swinging mechanic is original but poorly performed. You have to move your mouse in the way you want to swing, but most of the time I would move it forward and it would swing left. You barely every swing where you want to. Also if you fight a higher level guy you automatically die if he is heavily armored. That is because he can only be hurt in the face and you can be hit anywhere and be hurt. With the attack system and the fact that the only way to hurt him is a jab to the face you can do nothing but die. The single player is just a few random battles to get you practicing but it literally explains nothing about fighting, game controls, or any tips to play. Also you are usually left to try and take points by yourself as your team AI doesn't know how to follow you. Most of the points you have to attack have multiple enemies and some respawn, which means you have to keep killing them as they all gang up and then respawn. I quit it after 15 minutes. A good idea but most of the execution and gameplay falls very short of the lofty aspirations. Apparently you have to play mount and blade games prior to playing this to appreciate it. I was super excited and then completely let down.

Naughty Dog can do no evil. The story is fantastic, the characters are believable and likeable. The gunplay and platforming are both spot on. The game always changes it up with new environments or new types of levels, such as: escaping spiders, fighting through a falling plane, running through a burning building, or a sinking ship. I never got bored or felt as if something was repetitive because I was always doing something new. The game even made me laugh, which VERY FEW games have been able to do. I really did feel as if I was playing an Indiana Jones movie or one of my favorite books. I have not played the multiplayer or co-op which I am sure will be fun in their own right, but lets face it, this isn't COD; everyone buys this game for the single-player. I must say, this single-player is one of the best out their. Some of the critics complained it was more of the same, but I say why mess with perfection. If they make ANOTHER great story with MORE exciting scenes, what is to complain about. Yes, the gameplay is similar but I would not want drastically different anything, because why would you stray from the best reviewed ps3 game of all time? I cannot think of one bad thing to complain about, since they added the alternate shooting by listening to the fans.

Any time you retry or load a new area it can take up to 30 seconds just to load up. It can get frustrating when you play on hard and must redo some parts to have to wait so long to load up. The biggest and most notable problem is the platforming. So many times I would look at a ledge or something I had just grappled to it and would not let me for some reason and I would spam the R1 button, because that is your best bet of getting anywhere, and it would spin me around and grapple something not even on the screen. It can be very frustrating. Also I would be standing next to a wall or ledge and it would not let me hang on it or grab on to it for no reason. They could have done a better job with that but great with EVERYTHING else besides a few minor errors and one major one.....great job rocksteady

This game was not very good. Great looking water and realistic physics. I played waverunner on 64 and was able to do fine in that. I play numerous racing games but it was impossible to get past the 2nd level in this game on normal mode. I always had full turbo and never made mistakes but people in last place were faster than me and everyone was perfect at only the 2nd level. Stick with waverunner and enjoy it.

This game is fun but there is some physics problems such as overspin and a terrible inability to back up. The other problem is that they make it impossible to do well on the last level of the championship. The computer is perfect and you can never catch up and thus never complete the game. There is some good crash simulations though and some fast-paced fun.

This game is fun for a bit until you notice the glaring problems. Without any wind, it would say I am hitting 232 and I would hit full power and almost perfectly on and it would only go 209 yards and into the water below. The game does a terrible job [predicting how far your shot will go, in a game where feet matter. There is no excuse and no other reason why that should happen. Also even on the beginner courses the computer gets pars and birdies every time making it almost impossible to keep up. They should make the game more accessible and not make waste your time on 18 holes against perfect players starting out. Also even if you are just a tad off on the hit with the accuracy button it will go way short (doesn't even make sense with accuracy) or way off to the side. They can't expect you to be perfect and should penalize you as much for barely any error.

Good visuals and fast paced gameplay. A few major problems. Holding down will make you go faster but if you are holding it and you get the tiniest bit of air you try to flip and fall, which can ruin things easily. While their are many varied tricks, some of the mechanics really ****. Sometimes flipping is really easy and you can do two and other times you will hold it and your guy will barely move. Unless you want to lose a race, don't try one of the major point-scorers because you never know if it will work or not. Finally there is the circuit. They make you race the same map 3 times and even with all the problems and the fact that all the riders are faster than you, even if you are speed and they are tricky, you are supposed to get top 3 every time. This would be fair if they let you restart the race that you had progressed to. But to make the game artificially longer they want you to race the level 3 MORE TIMES. I was already sick of the level after 3 times, but having to do 3 more and who knows how many if I make one mistake, was too much for me. Game like this that aren't long and don't have many maps try to make up for it by making the game seem longer since you have to repeat every course 10 times. Sloppy developing.

This game is fun for about an hour or two and then the glaring weaknesses and lack of polish shine through. First off, to make it so the police are always with you there is glaringly obvious rubber band AI so that when you drive perfectly they do the same and can always catch up to you no matter what you do. They always get to be faster than you to. This discourages trying to drive well or with skill because it won't matter. The next problem is the damage modeling. In a game about driving over hills and doing jumps, it actually DAMAGES your car when you drive over hills and get the slightest bit of air, even if you land cleanly on ALL 4 WHEELS! What do they want you to do since the game is about driving on sloping terrain and you can't drive slowly because you have timed objectives and the rubber band AI is always right behind you. They obviously do this to make it harder, as well as making you do 7 drops in 1 without a slight mistake or you have to start all over again, just to make the game longer. This is synthetic length because it is just you restarting the mission over and over which is a cheap and unwanted trick and a waste of time. Finally is the physics, another major factor of the game and something they manage to screw up. I would constant drive into a hill expecting to go up it only to run straight into it as if it were a wall. Other times I would land on two wheels with my other 2 just off the ground and instead of them falling after I would stay on the other two as if I had landed sideways and I would flip over. Other times my car would flip in the air for no reason. This is some of the worst physics I have ever seen in a game that it should be spot-on. Add to that lack of variety and repetitive boring missions and you have yourself a bad example of a launch game.

I was excited for this game having played and enjoyed 1-3. I was sorely disappointed as the computer is was too good and this you with everything. I played for an hour and couldn't beat the first level. Everyone moves way too fast you can't target them and the controls are over-sensitive leading you to never be able to follow someone. I ended up getting shot every 5 seconds from every side while never being able to get a bead on anyone. I have played and gotten far in all the other one but the new combat in this is terrible and a major bust. Stick with #2, the best of them all.

This game has a lot of positives but also negatives that go with each one. It handles the story and nudity very maturely and has a great world filled with interesting lore and creatures. The fact you really get no new spells or anything is pretty boring and can be a major put-off. The spells you do get are limited and only some of them are useful. I found myself using the shield ability 70% of the time. This has nothing to do with play-style, but since fights put 3 guys against you who all attack at the same time and who can infinitely block and chain attack you, it is a must. The fire was useless and the mind control didn't even work when I used it. The combat seems great but has many flaws. They make blocking use the same bar as spells, which starts off with only 2 uses and doesn't regenerate fast enough. This means when your opponents can keep attacking and blocking, you really can't play defensive or offensive. They can block and counter or if u try to block you can only do it 2 times before starting to get hit. They should have made block separate. Some would say that is why the "roll" is there but usually it is too slow and doesn't really put you in a good position to counter. It is almost like they don't want you to be able to defend yourself. What RPG makes all your spells take 1/2 or 1/3 of your mana bar? None, because it is stupid and makes the game not as much fun, as there is too much time running around waiting for it to recharge. Then there is the graphics. They are beautiful but require too much to run them. With my top-of-the-line comp I was only able to run most things, and even those on medium settings and still with texture problems. This could be a major put-off for most. The biggest problem is the difficulty. I started out with "hard" and having been a gamer my whole life and playing most games on hard, I was appalled by how this setting was. Everything 2-3 hit you, which made the lack of defense even harder. That mixed with the crowds who could juggle you and it was too much. I would spend 1 hour replaying boss fights as well as random mobs. "Hard" shouldn't mean making the computer overpowered or making you every 30 min have to replay a part over and over for an hour. That;s not difficult, its just aggravating and time consuming. It doesn't challenge you, it just asks you to be flawless or get really lucky. Especially because you can't take potions in combat (why did they think this was a good idea) which means there is no healing yourself. If they would have included a sign that would be ok, but they didn't. This all comes to a head with the save system. I applaud the use of the quicksave, but then you cannot use it in battle, the time when it makes most sense. Since this is already too hard in combat, you should be able to save your progress, but you can't. This means you have to go the entire fight perfectly or after 5 min of a boss fight where you almost kill him but make one error you are forced to replay the entire thing again. I would like the ability to save after I kill each member of a party in battle, due to how unfair it already is that you are facing a party. This makes it seem like a glorified checkpoint system. But other than these glaring weakness and botched ideas, there is a good game at heart. I think it has to due with a wonky way of thinking in Europe how an RPG should be.

This game I instantly bought after playing a demo. I fell in love with it form the first level. The relaxing music that always fit the atmosphere and you could fall asleep to. Each level was new and had a new trick or something special about it that set it apart from the level before it. Because of this concept, a game with only a few mechanics never got old through my entire playthrough. The powers are cool and innovative. I am not a puzzle man and try to stay away from them, but this is more of a physics game. Having said my inability to solve puzzles, I never had to consult a walkthrough during my entire playtime, even though every level I felt challenged and was able to solve everything with a little time and thought. Not too hard but not too easy. This game is a must-buy for the great price. Only problem is that it is somewhat short.

VERY good game. Haven't been this pleasantly surprised by a game in a while. Also one of the more recent games that kept me playing late in the night with that feeling of telling myself "just one more checkpoint". Very good art design and innovative new ideas for fighting. Great characters and one of the funniest games I have ever played. Also great how much game there is and how they make you think it is over but then add more story. Great value. Few problems are is it confusing where to go or what to do, and the game does not explain some of this that well. This leads to a lot of wandering around. A walkthrough for these parts are a must. Also need more checkpoints in case you don't want to have to play 1 hr+ every sit-down. Also could get a little talkative, without much action at some parts. There are also many problems with how precise brush is. I would make a slash but it would not be recognized for any good reason and this can be VERY frustrating. This was probably biggest and most annoying flaw in the game, the brush imprecision. All in all a great game.

The single-player had good graphics, and was well written. The gameplay was more repetitive and linear than the first one, an obvious sign of how it was dumbed down for consoles. But overall, I was pleased the with single player game, which was surprisingly long for a shooter. The multiplayer was vastly inferior to such games as call of duty. I have been playing shooters online for 9 years now, and I have never been so disappointed by online play. Every level is wide open, which makes for no strategy. The same open levels where you just get shot from the side by 10 people from all sides who are cloaked. No strategy and skill involved, and deaths mean almost nothing. Aiming in underwhelming, as cross-airs are too slow for people's movement and myself as well as the killcams I looked at showed people just spraying (THROUGH IRONSIGHTS). After playing online for 3 days and gaining 2 levels, I have no want to go back to the same 4 levels or 3 uninspired game types. Buy for single player, but no for online.

This game was a huge disappointment. I paid 35 dollars and I got ripped off. The rubber band AI takes all the skill out of it. You can drive perfectly and screw the computers over but they will automatically catch up to you even if you drive perfectly. They also can drive perfectly and know every shortcut while cars just spawn and turn in the exact places to screw you over but that never happens to the computer. They automatically get faster cars, better turning, and handling, and it takes forever to unlock any upgrades so they always have a car advantage as well as driving. It it hard enough to beat green (easy) races, but when they make you race oranges to get cars and as missions it becomes obvious that they just want to make game impossible to artificially lengthen the game. Graphics aren't that good for console game and it is a repetitive grind where you have to play 2 hours to unlock anything each time. They also make too long of races and everything is a series where if you get screwed over by the 2nd or 3rd race you've just wasted 15 minutes racing for no reason. I own and have beaten the past 3 midnight clubs and enjoyed them. This one got the trash can after a couple days. Done with midnight club.

Fight Night Round 43

Very disappointed by the game. As people have said, the control is awful. I would try to block or dodge and it would throw a punch. Punch control **** as it would always throw a different punch than I was trying to. Because of way it is set up the punches aren't distinguished well enough. The recovery mini-game after getting knocked down is the worst part of the game. The computer does it fine but it is soo finicky and uncontrollable and confusing that I usually couldn't get up after being knocked down in the first round. Also the game makes it so once you start to lose, it's basically over and you can't come back because your stats are down. You also get tired way too fast and it's too easy to grab another person and recover. Worst of all the fight night games, hopefully they improve for the 5th one which I probably won't buy now. Was not worth my 20 dollars. Good character customization.
