Planet Explorers5
May 30, 2014
I had mixed feelings about "Planet Explorers" As an avid "Minecraft" player I was excited about the open world gameplay and the crafting system. I must admit that all my PE experience has been in the sandbox option, I didnt deal with any quest or story-related material. As soon as they fix the "clunky" building experience I'm sure that it will be far superior to "Minecraft" in ease and looks. One of the reasons I lost inteerest quickly in PE is because of the option to buy all your materials rather than search and mine for them. I understand that this makes the game easier, but far less satisfying.. I think this game has potential but currently it may not be worth the investment.. its a wait and see

Prison Architect8
May 30, 2014
I was really skeptical about paying $30 for this early access title, but Prison Architect has really given me more than I expected in entertainment. What I was really afraid of was PA ending up being a clone of the repetitive "Tycoon" series. PA differentiates itself from those common simulation games in a couple ways. The animation is very charming in a minimalist style, check out the previews. I really enjoyed the way your workmen build, they grab the parts and install them.. it feels more real than just plopping pieces like most simulation games. Another thing I enjoyed was the flexiblity in designing whatever prison I was interested in, there is no predefined room sizes besides a minimum size, shapes and number of objects in the rooms are up to you and they matter. I am very excited to see this title develop, it should keep me entertained for many more hours. If you like what you see in the previews, expect to really like this title.. Thanks devs

Kenshi8
May 30, 2014
Although Kenshi is a bit buggy (pathing & structures) I have found it to be a very satisfying combination of simulation/rpg/tower defense games. I do enjoy acquiring new followers and "training" them to fit my overall strategy. The open-world aspect fits really well giving you the freedom to play any way you desire. So far I haven't dealt with many aspects of the game, like faction reputation, but I do look forward to exploring them and new updates as they are released. So far it has surpassed my expectations making it a fine investment for $20.

Pixel Piracy7
May 30, 2014
I first dismissed Pixel Piracy because I am not fond of 2d side-scrolling games and even though I put in plenty of effort I failed to enjoy Terraria which was advertised as similar in form and function. Despite those discouragements I purchased Pixel Piracy because I had a coupon that reduced the price a bit and had finally become bored with Rogue Legacy (awesome game). Pixel Piracy has exceeded my expectations, its graphics and animations are charming in a minimalistic way and its sand-box rogue-like world creation increases its replay ability. There are still some bugs to work out, but the game play is easy to understand and I promise that if you give this game a half a chance it should at least be 20 hours of fun for you... also its resource requirements are minimal so you can play it on your back-up laptop :)
